DeMarco Murray, RB, Dallas Cowboys (1 Viewer)

I don't get the love for this guy at all, I mean not at all. It's like some pundit ranked him a top 7 rb by default and every other expert jumped on the bandwagon. People are taking this guy late in the first round?? :loco: It's like Ingram last year only 10 times worse. I think he'll have some nice games but this guy is going about 3 rounds too high.
Really? You're equating a rookie last year who didn't play much to a guy who broke records in the few games he played? There are zero similarities between the two.
Through 6 games last season Ingram: 239/3. This year Murray: 330/1. Pretty close. If not for Chris Johnson's 301/0 we're talking BustOTY, now with the injury he probably jumps Johnson for the honor.
The difference is the defenses faced. Murray has only faced tough run defenses until the Baltimore game, and lo and behold he was on pace for a 20 point fantasy night before getting knocked out of the game entering the second half.

Plus the fact that Murray has only played 5 games this year. (Bye Week 5)And that's also ignoring Murray's 17/118 receiving stats through those 5 games. Even in non-PPR those yards count.

Last year, Ingram had a grand total of 23 receiving yards through his first 6 games. (I'm giving you that extra week again Bo, since you really wanted it)

Ohh right, I forgot about the bye week. Still, for a guy drafted late 1st he's pretty close to one of last season's busts of the year who was drafted around round 5. And now he's hurt. Is it safe to assume most teams who drafted this guy aren't doing well this season? I think it is.

I'm 5-1. He hasn't been amazing, but in PPR he's given me between 12-18 points every week, which is perfectly acceptable as long as you're solid elsewhere. I have Lynch as my #2, Matt Ryan, Harvin, Marshall, and Vernon as my usual starters.

His only opening day returning OLmen, were playing different positions. He has played a very tough schedule thus far. Slow starts happen. If he can get healhty in the next 1-2 weeks, he'll bounce back.

Also 5-1. QBs - Brady and Manning. RBs - Murray, Lawfirm and McGahee. WRs- AJ Green, Percy Harvin, Wes Welker

This is a fun thread to read again.

Today Murray rushed for over 100 against Seattle to tie Jim Brown's record of rushing for 100+ in six straight games to begin the season.

It is exciting to see him finally hit his potential. Been a long patient ride to get here. Hope he stays healthy.
