Demaryus Thomas Breaks foot (1 Viewer)

He better hope for a kick ### pro day, he needed a good cobime to vault him up into the end of the 1st round.

According to TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline, Demaryius Thomas was running forties in the 4.3 range prior to breaking his foot this week.Thomas' agent confirmed the injury to Pauline while adding that a pin may need to be inserted into Thomas' foot to quicken his healing. The agent also said Thomas ran a 4.38 forty at 227 pounds last week, which would've skyrocketed his stock had Thomas repeated the time in Indianapolis. Thomas' camp videotaped the workout and plans to send the footage to all 32 teams.

It's all on the tape. He's the 2nd best WR prospect available. I think a lot of teams already know this. Like Crabtree last year, he'll be drafted about where he should be even if he never runs for scouts.

That's good to know.Pauline is one of the "experts" whose opinion is actually worth a crap. He knows his stuff.

Russ Lande over at The Sporting News is another good one to follow. I just saw their rankings the other day and noticed that they have Thomas as the #1 WR in the draft.

I think Thomas will be a first round pick when it's all said and done. The media will say his stock is rising, but in reality his stock is already high. The internet pundits are always a step behind the actual NFL war rooms.

I find it hard to believe that a guy who breaks his foot running in practice is going to be the top WR taken. I guess anything is possible; last year it was DHB. But that's a lot of risk on a player that you can't see in person under controlled situation and starting your career with a broken foot isn't a great way to begin.

I agree with you that if he never runs he won't be the first wr taken. However he can still run at his pro day

It seems to me that most player agents can't read a stop watch correctly.

This sucks, he was one of the players I was looking forward to at the combine, I haven't seen much of him.
