I think Bernie's discretion is part of his popularity. There are plenty of people within the Democratic Party, like me, who don't love Hillary Clinton, but who also don't think she's the devil. People who think that the decision to work from a private email server was weird, but not illegal. People who think that she's too beholden to special interest money, but in a way that just about every other mainstream politician is. People who think she's been a competent, if not an exceptional, public servant. Bernie appeals to me when he talks about his ideas and his policy prescriptions. Not when he talks about Clinton in the same way that some deranged wingnut would.
