Which is better? Denim or chinos?

i got a good deal on black chinos last night ( st john bay 2 for 35. Shhhh) and compared to a pair of jeans i think they feel much better.

I was wearing out a lot of denim by walking. Some pairs of high quality ( lower medium quality) jeans were falling apart under my heels and it just makes sense financially.

Does it make sense to becone a slackguy?

I always wear my Chuck Norris Action Jeans.  You never know when you're going to get attacked by Ninjas and you don't want to be caught wearing chinos.

Here is your bigger problem. If your jeans are so wide leg and boot cut that they are dragging under your heels, than you're doing it wrong.

I have a hard time findings jeans that fit. They all look skinny

They are definitely casual trousers contrary to some person earlier.

Chinos are thicker more rugged, coarse material.  Chinos are more casual.

Slacks are thinner and silkier in texture. Slacks are more dressy.
