I'd think he meant for the season, not the game. It would highly unusual to list a player as inactive and then play him.

According to the Chiefs official web site, the Broncos have declared running back Tatum Bell inactive for tonight's game in Kansas City. The move -- once again -- comes as a bit of a surprise considering Bell practiced this week and was upgraded to probable on Wednesday.

With fellow halfback Cedric Cobbs also inactive, Mike Bell and Damien Nash will carry the load for a second-straight week.
