watching my local news ( philly ) and they cover the weather for the football games and they said that the denver cleveland game should be nasty.

As in 48° high with rain.

So those thinking about the pasing game out there be careful and hit up the news for weather.

ps - havent seen a game day weather thread in a while?

Thanks for the info. I tried to get a weather thread going last week but everyone wanted to be a comedian.

It could be 75 degrees and clear as a bell and neither of these teams are gonna be outstanding passing teams ... have you watched any of Plummers' games this year and the Denver D is "Lights Out" so I highly doubt Frye is much of a threat at the best of times.

It's also supposed to be windy 10-20 mph winds.

of course this happens the one week Bulger is on bye for me and i have to start Plummer. Is the weather bad enough that I should consider dropping plummer for brad johnson?

I see this game going like 13-9. Plummer sucks and it looks like the Browns will have at least Baxter back at CB. With 2 weeks to game plan Denver I think they'll keep it boring and close. The only players I think have any value in this game are Elam, Dawson and the Tater, maybe Winslow.I think I would rather start Johnson this week, long term I don't know.

sounds like i should bench Javon.

I picked up the Cleveland D because of this. Denver scored 13 points against the mighty Raider defense. It looked like a much better matchup than my other Ds (Tampa Bay and KC) :bag: :bag: :bag:

With Cribbs returning KO and punts that's not a bad play. He can bust em. They've dropped about 5 ints in the last 2 games so I wouldn't be suprised to see a few picks and sacks on the day either.

How does weather like this affect the kickers? Bad, because conditions are worse? Or good, since the offenses won't move the ball as much and may be happy to settle for three whenever they get the chance?

windy = badrain = not so bad cept on footing

I live near Cleveland, and I can tell you that there is no reason to bench any players on the account of weather, with the possiblle exception of kickers.

HTH.

Denver is -5.5 pts

O/U is 32.5 pts

Why is this game going to be the elusive trap game for week 7? I am getting a feeling that this game will end up something like 28-24 in Denver's favor. Stay away from the points but the 'over' is a lock.

Anybody else see this as a possible trap game for the Broncos?? Playing at Cleveland and everyone expects the Broncos to win pretty easily. I have a couple Broncos players on my team and something about this game seems fishy to me

EDIT: DAMN, you beat me to it about being a trap game

For all those with a vested interest in this game

I am sitting In Cleveland right now.

Skies are VERY gray and it looks like it going to pour

It is also windy. Near the lakefront the wind will be even worse and will swirl in the stadium.

Let's just say it is not looking pretty out there

I'm benching Javon for Branch. The weather isn't the only factor, but it helped to push me where I was leaning anyway.
