Denver Projections(Dodds) (1 Viewer)

I know some people use FBG projections as is for drafting. I noticed Dodds' projections for Denver don't reconcile. His team passing totals are about 400 yards higher than the team receiving numbers. I noticed because my projection for Denver passing was similar to his but my numbers for Marshall and Royal were higher. I looked at a few other team projections and the passing and receiving amounts listed usually fall in line with each other. I emailed David yesterday but had not received a response yet. I wanted to alert those who might be drafting soon from those projections so they can adjust if needed.

It's not unusual. I've read that projections often aren't made to add up, something about that if they all add up and your wrong on one then all the projections are off. I'm sure there's an article about it in the archives.

Maybe bad projections don't add up. Typically, Dodds' passing and receiving numbers are within about 50 yards of each other. He projects individuals down to 50 yards or less receiving so I think he is trying to account for each yard projected. I think this discrepancy is an oversight more than his intention.

I agree. Personally I am skeptical if they add up perfectly because there are always 4th & 5th string players that will come in and catch one or two passes all season and you cant really plan for that.if the total yards by the QB are reasonably close to the total projected receiving yards I wouldnt worry too much about it.

I know that my projections add up to the reception, yard, etc...and I believe Dodds' do too. Where you see the discrepancy is the way the projections are displayed on the site, you only see the top X number of runners and receivers. But you can be sure Dodds, and I [and Bloom and Henry and Maurile] project down to the very last man on the roster to make all things equalize.

It seems we did not correct Brandon Lloyd to reflect him now on Denver. I have LLoyd at 383 yards and 2 TDs. My numbers do add up.
