Desean Jackson (1 Viewer)

I think the only DB coverage that would cause me to bench my WR is NYJ's Revis.

Also, DeSean doesn't even really run "routes", he just runs vertical and no one can catch him. I expect the same this wknd.

Well I benched Moss and Wayne vs Denver and they were both good calls... Djax pretty much is the Eagles offense. Even if Westbrook, Maclin, and Vick are in I think Denver focuses on taking down Djax with rolled coverage and Bailey on him all game. Not a great matchup for Mcnabb, don't think this will be a 300+ yard passing game so just looking at it this way there would be a limit to DJax's ceiling this week. However, without looking at data I think I feel better about DJax than I did about Wayne and Moss. Both those guys had other factors going against them before coming into that game but Djax doesn't have any flags going into this game and in fact is on a hot streak. That makes it really hard to consider sitting the guy. Especially when he is a threat in both the return game and could take an end around to the house at any moment. I believe Denver has allowed a few returns for TD this year. I also remembered the game where Holmes was matched up against Bailey a few times and managed to catch quite a few balls. Though, that game the Denver D really fell apart. I'd probably play him this week, don't really see any good WR with great matchups to exploit over Djax.

Good point.
That's not entirely true. I've seen a him on a few occasions catch the short crossing route dump off from McNabb, and take it the length of the field. He's a flat out playmaker and guys like Avant and Maclin are pretty good blockers down field, which doesn't hurt.

For posterity's sake, the good point was the one about Revis. I think what you are saying is absolutely true.

I'd start him against Revis too.

Good as he is, I think Jackson has the speed to burn him deep. I would expect DJax to get more or less shut out on the short to intermediate game though.
Sorry, but using a fluke play by Ted Ginn as ammo in pumping up anyone's speed facing Revis is  Since Week 4 the guy has had more than two catches in a game ONCE and that TD was his only one of the year.Ted Ginn??? :lmao:

I don't know, Smith was pretty fast and they shut him down. Although, Mcnabb is way better than Delhomme so I could see it happening. It's crazy, but I think this guy has enough talent to be bigger than Fitz, Moss, and a lot of other big fantasy names next year. Can't wait to see where he'd be drafted at next year.

Is there confirmation that Denver will go man against DJax with Bailey? Very curious how this will turn out for DJax because most of his big plays have been as a result of him running through zone coverage. His speed gets him on top of and past the safety in a hurry. Rarely does anyone man cover him.

By no means am I saying that Bailey isn't as a good a player that he's made out to be... but I believe your going to see just how good DeSean Jackson really is. I wouldn't be afraid to start him if I owned him... I'm calling 5 catches 110 yards.

There is no confirmation that they will be locked up. Just the opposite. There are probably 5+ threads about "Should I sit __________ against Champ."He plays on one side of the field (typically). Every once in a while he will just get locked up with one guy for a whole game but not often.

On second thought, maybe I am wrong. Maybe it is more often than I thought.
