Incident at Neshabur by Tito Santana: this is a good latin rock jazz fusion..who gave this organ permission to go off? Oh #### Santana just jumped in. I need to get into this album more.
The Divided Sky by Fish: I owned this album on CD but don’t remember this song. Maybe I listened to Fee too many times? Ok, they started singing and now I can understand why I don’t know this song. Now they stopped and I like it again. So much is happening!!! I think if you could eliminate 25% of their stupid crap, there is an incredible song, album and band in there.
Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner by Warren Zylan: The person that drafted this did real well for themselves, I would be so sad if I knew I would never hear this album again
Sugarfoot by Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears: it’s a very fun song, but it also makes wonder what the difference in the recording and mixing of this track is compared to an old school James Brown song. I ask that because this doesn’t quite sound right. It’s trying but missing so slightly. It is a 4/5 and not a 5/5
Joan Crawford by Blue Oyster Cult: New to me and I kind of like Joan so this could be interesting. Please listen to this piece of the song from the middle and make sense of it!!

I don't know. I've drafted the song "That's How I Escaped My Certain Fate" at least twice, so maybe then. Oh, and the Old Fart category that draft back when. I drafted one of their albums from 2010 forward. But it's not out of the realm of possibility that it was Marco or Floppo or a bunch of others here.
That's great that you love it. I think it's some of the finest songwriting around.

Disco Biscuits - the Classical Set 2003
I'm gonna take @Mr. Ected advice and get this on the playlist asap. I had been hunting for a copy of this record for a couple of years. I finally won it in a bidding war, unopened and mint, about a month ago. It's really rare and is in high demand. Mofo cost me $300. I'm so tempted to open it. Kinda feel like the 40 y/o virgin with the toys.
This show always had an aura around it. Most bands could barely pull this stunt off in a controlled studio, let alone live on stage with short notice. This 2003 show is probably where the legend of Barber REALLY got going. He's like David Gilmore, if David was trippin balls every show. He's so creative. Allen is called the Professor on drums for a reason. You can hear from the start that he is especially on point in this one. The Disco Biscuits do amazing things quite often, but this was the first big one.
The soundboard recording got damaged or something, so they had to Cobble together some good auds to lay down the proper vinyl. I have a DL of it, and you would think it was a soundboard. Sounds Amazing. Here is a blurb from the release date by Mags.
The Disco Biscuits Aron Magner shared a statement about the long-in-the-making release:
"On behalf of the entire The Disco Biscuits organization, I couldn’t be happier to announce the official release of THE CLASSICAL SET….on vinyl.
This special afternoon show was performed on Aug 16, 2003 at a festival we put together in the mountains of Trade, TN called “TranceMission.” The tracks consist of arrangements of some of the most famous classical pieces of music, mixed with some Biscuits classical-inspired originals. I vividly recall the band tearing through the sheet music of the conductor’s score and crafting our own unique four piece orchestration that still stayed true to the written music.
This limited edition, four side, official release has been set for November 28th. The release contains original artwork by Gwen AP Original Art, liner notes by Jon Lesser, and a special bonus track on side 4.
Roll over Beethoven…we’re rocking in 2 by 2.

Hiatt is very underrated imo. Lovett's "If I Had A Boat" is a great song.

Mostly Outbacks and WRX, along I did have one Impreza and one Forester along the way. I started with the sportscar WRX, which I had three of and loved, but as I've gotten older now I've had several Outbacks in a row. What do you have?

I'm watching my niece's HS graduation ceremony. Members of the class sang a version of Don't You Forget About Me which seems too old for the class of 2020.
High school was a long time ago but I remember hearing the Eagles' Take It Easy on the ride to Lake Michigan to watch the sunrise. It's too bad Maia won't get to experience grad night with her friends.
Each of the kids gets a small text box for their quote and/or achievements as their name is read. One girl said "I went from awkward tween to quaranteen". She's the leader in the clubhouse.

When I was in High School a friend had a Brat. That was a crazy car. About 5 years ago one of my customers took me for a drive in his WRX that he uses for off-road rallies. I was gripping the seat hard during that ride.

It is Friday night. I am making my 27th round pick, the 14th of the round. I am way out in front of many others, but somehow their picks seem much...cooler.
It is 1994. The Smithereens have released their new album A Date With The Smithereens; however, I am in my yuppie phase and the money I usually spend on music is now going towards buying black and tans at the pub across the street from the mortgage company I work for. Out of nostalgia, I buy the album anyway, but give it only a cursory listen.
It is 2004. I am living in my new house and feeling nostalgic again. I spy the long-neglected CD sitting on the CD rack I installed on the wall of my new house when I moved in; it was my first DIY project ever. This thought only occurs to me in as I write about my 27th round pick on that Friday night in 2020. Anyway, I am both happy and sad as I listen to this CD, because there are only two songs I really like, Now and Then, and Love is Gone.
My pick has been made, but I have no idea who is really up next; just glad I'm not spending another night in that chamber.
