Ok, so the results are in for the Rock bracket:

This was mostly chalk.  There was a whole lotta love for Led Zeppelin.  Those that were about to rock saluted AC/DC and the greatest encore song ever @Evilgrin 72   Queen certainly looked like champions, while Pink Floyd was money.  The Who rocked a million and 1 faces to edge Bon Jovi.  The Stones sent Guns N' Roses to exile on main street, and it turns out a knighthood is ever so slightly better than a Nobel Prize.

Round 2 should prove to be more competitive, with some power house match-ups.

Reminder:  You are on a deserted island with access to only one artist's complete catalogue for the rest of time, and no other music - pick one artist from each pairing. 

Yes, I know - your favorite artist did not make the tourney, and/or, you would rather swim into the ocean until you collapsed from exhaustion than pick one - but humor us with your choices anyway!
