Desmond Clark (1 Viewer)

I've had D. Clark on my bench the last 2 weeks, while Crumpler has been struggling. Any chance he keeps up this pace? I'm in shock at how much passing offence the Bears have had. Grossman looks great, and Clark is putting up top 5 TE numbers.

Is he worth a start over your big name TEs (Heap, Crumpler, Gonzo, etc)

Denver Broncos fan. No, Desmond Clark is not for real. He can put up some numbers in an extremely favorable situation (like Denver, circa 2001), but he's a very average player. Unless you think Chicago's going to become some sort of Tight End Wonderland, he's not going to have much fantasy value this season... and even if Chicago *IS* going to become a Tight End Wonderland, no way should you start him over a Gates/Heap/Shockey/Gonzo, or even a Crumpler/Watson. Just say no.

I'm sure he'll have a number of off games like everyone else, but given how many of the top TEs are slow out of the gates (pun not intentional), you could do a lot worse.

CLark has looked fast and is burning every linebacker who attempts to cover him, and that includes Ernie Simms, who is among the quicker LB's in the league. Grossman has targeted him 20 times in two games. It would be a mistake to write him off as a fluke. He may be taking some special vitamins this year, but we can overlook this.

I think he's worth a shot. He was calling for the ball in the preseason, and now he's getting it.

I picked him up today to replace Gates for his bye this week.

Maybe he keeps performing well with Grossman and you can deal a top TE???

The only thing that bothers me is some other TE had two short TDs yesterday.
