Desperation play for this week (1 Viewer)

I see Issac Bruce as a good plug and hope play this weekend, his last few weeks could have landed him on some waiver wires but he was still getting 5 or 6 targets a game. Josh Morgan (~4 t/g) will be out + playing against Stl who is both terrible and Bruce played his entire career for. Frank Gore being dinged could also lead to a lower rushing total.

Bonus- I'm super duper thin at RB and need 4-5 pts play: Michael Bush. Mia is giving up 48 yards receiving to RBs a game this year. Just a hope and a prayer if your at this point.

I dropped Bruce for Mark Clayton this week. I agree it's a great matchup but in the six quarters with Hill at QB, he has rarely looked to Bruce. And those games were great matchups for him too. Anything's possible but I think the Niners are starting to go more and more toward their younger WRs (Morgan when healthy and Hill). I think Hill's the play among the SF receivers this week. Shaun Hill has locked onto him repeatedly the past two games and I think that continues this week.

Bruce had 6 targets in the Arizona game, so its not like he didn't look that way at all. Josh Morgan had 8 targets and won't be playing, those targets will go somewhere. Hill has a career total of 10 catches on 16 targets, maybe last week was a coming out party, but what I see as more likely was the backup QB being more comfortable with a back WR, hitting him 3 times on the final drive where SF was running 3 and 4 wr sets. Before that there was basically no film on Hill (the WR) and now there is. Another week of practice should give Hill (the QB) some more timeto get comfortable with IB.

I haven't seen any noticeable decline in skills with Bruce. I just don't see the QB throwing to him very often. But since I dropped him this week I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he dropped 100 yards and 3 TDs on the Rams this week. :)

Bruce hasn't been getting many looks do to his lack of explosiveness, and ability to break away as of late. Everytime they even throw his way it seems like their is someone draped all over him. I like just about every other active SF Wide out over Bruce right now.
