His first NFL carry came in the first quarter of last weeks game where he slipped through a tiny hole to gain 13 yards. He showed quick feet and some good burst through the holes all game while also doing a good job of identifying those holes. He finished with a 11/48/0 stat line. I don't think what I witnessed was special but I thought it was impressive none the less. DET thinks so as well, and apparently plan to get him touches moving forward even when the backfield is back to full strength.

Let's assume for a second that Winn has moved ahead of Theo Riddick (who isn't a great talent himself). Bush is dinged up and Bell is fresh off a concussion (seems like he's going to play this week). Bell also hasn't been all that productive on his touches this year, averaging 3.2 YPC. Doesn't Winn seem like a good stash in deeper leagues? It would likely take another Bell injury for him to see legit value but the endorsement by his OC is obviously good news for his stock. I don't know much about the guy other than that I liked what I saw from the film. If anyone knows more about him, please share.

Know nothing about him, but grabbed him for $1 in a deep 14-team dynasty a few days ago for pretty much the same reasons you're listing. Bush owner, FWIW.

I'm curious to see how it plays out with Riddick. The team expressed some disappointment (or local beat writers just got the wrong idea) that it was a bummer Riddick had the hamstring issue at the same time Joique had his concussion. By all reports Riddick is ready to go and now Bush is missing.

Certainly possible they see Winn as their next Joique, though Joique isn't going anywhere for a bit. Also possible Riddick has always been ahead of him and was just hurt, and this is more coachspeak. Remember, after OTAs and preseason where Riddick was getting a ton of buzz, Lombardi talked about playing the three guys and making sure Riddick got his touches... didn't happen.

I'd roster Winn if I had a spot and he was available. He's not, and I don't as Winn was claimed off waivers this week. Should be interesting to see which guy gets run on Sunday.
