Thanks for the reply, A.A.He's fine.
So CBS might just be pushing the panic button a little early?
Megatron' zapped for Week 5? Calvin Johnson, WR DETNews: Lions head coach Jim Schwartz confirmed that wide receiver Calvin Johnson did not practice Wednesday after missing the end of the last game with a leg injury. No other details on Johnson's status or ailment have been made available, though he seemed optimistic that he'd be fine after his legs tightened up on him late in the Week 4 loss at Chicago. Analysis: Fantasy owners will need to stay on top of this one over the next day or two and see whether or not Johnson practices. Typically if players can't practice by Friday, they don't play on Sunday, so we'd be more hopeful of an appearance by Johnson on Sunday if he practices before the end of the week. With the matchup against the Steelers a tough one and with Daunte Culpepper potentially being his quarterback for the game, Johnson is no better than a No. 2 Fantasy WR for the game. We'll keep you posted on his status.
Good thing you edited this so we could all be aware of your insight.Mega#### is laying down because his team still stinks and his numbers have dropped.(Megawuss) is there really a big difference between a W and a P GEEZ
The Shark Pool is really sad lately.Speak for yourself - WR7 in my league and a lovin' the Calvin/Wayne tandemTwo Deep said:Mega#### is laying down because his team still stinks and his numbers have dropped.(Megawuss) is there really a big difference between a W and a P GEEZ
I'm not worried about it too much. Daunte just has to heave it up for Calvin like he did with Moss - plus they did play together last season and this preseason.Dan Lambskin said:i havent heard much, but The Schwartz is like Bill Belicheck 2.0 with injury updates...my guess is if your star player is even a little banged up you rest him a day or two in practice...it is a little worriesome that if Stafford cant go Calvin might not have much time to build a rapport with Culpepper, but the guy is a freak of nature and had no problems producing with the QB carosuel he had last year
Missed him in your draft this year? Two Deep said:Mega#### is laying down because his team still stinks and his numbers have dropped.(Megawuss) is there really a big difference between a W and a P GEEZ
I would think from a fantasy perspective Culpepper would give Megatron a quick boost in value. More deep balls and jump balls in the endzone.I'm not worried about it too much. CBS did the same thing with Forte last week. I thought I read somewhere earlier this week that if the game would havebeen closer that Johnson would have been back in the game?KCC said:Thanks for the reply, A.A.Addai said:He's fine.So CBS might just be pushing the panic button a little early?

Polamalu won't be playing.Ike Taylor is a great cover corner though. Held VJax to 4 for 56 on a night they really aired it out in the 2nd half.If C-Pep will take the 8-10 yard cushion the Steelers give, Johnson could have a huge day receptions wise, but unless he breaks a long one I wouldn't hold my breath for the yardage. TD's as always are a crapshoot. He's in my line-up FWIW.I might bench Calvin this week.CJ a little banged up. Stafford injured. Culpepper starting. Matchup against Pittsburgh. Polamalu possibly returning. There are a lot of signs pointing to Calvin having a subpar game.Everytime I bench him he makes me pay for it though. "Never. Bench. Calvin Johnson. Ever!"

I can start 3 of Steve Smith (Car), Calvin Johnson, Chad Ochocinco, and Mike Sims-Walker. It's not an easy decision. It's very possible the Steelers dominate time of possession, game plan to take Calvin out of the game (similar to what the Bears did in the second half last week), and hit Culpepper all day making it difficult for him to get the ball to Calvin when he is open.I appreciate the post above. Good insight on reasons to leave Calvin in lineups, thanks.Overcoach much?I might bench Calvin this week.CJ a little banged up. Stafford injured. Culpepper starting. Matchup against Pittsburgh. Dude I just traded for him to stuff him in my lineup no q's asked...who did I trade u ask? Brees for Brady and Calvin!Just stuff Calvin in your lineup and leave him there already until his bye week!I can start 3 of Steve Smith (Car), Calvin Johnson, Chad Ochocinco, and Mike Sims-Walker. I agree. No reason to take him out. Megatron getting no love is really surprising to me.He's like 2-3 bad penalties and 1 horrible out of bounds call in week 1 from being the #2 or #3 WR.As is, he's #7 in ppr leagues while "underperforming"Dude I just traded for him to stuff him in my lineup no q's asked...who did I trade u ask? Like I said, I have other viable options. I like to put the players in my lineup that are going to score the most points. WRs have down games. It happens to all of them. There are signs this week pointing to Calvin having one of those down games.Dude I just traded for him to stuff him in my lineup no q's asked...who did I trade u ask? This is very true.Calvin is basically my favorite NFL player to watch, but I think he'll struggle in this particular game.I agree. No reason to take him out.
