Lobstein to DL, Buck Farmer will be called up and start Thursday. Dixon Machado called up to take Lobstein's roster spot.
oofSanchez has beat the twins, other than that he has suckedI'll give Anibal this. When he's been bad, he's been so bad I haven't wasted any time watching. By the time I get the kids to bed and am ready to watch some baseball those games have been toast.
Anybody who has watched have any idea what his problem has been in those games?
I wouldn't, if you told me at the beginning of the year that the Tigers would get nothing from V-Mart, Verlander, and major slumps/erratic play from J.D., Sanchez, Davis, and Nick I would have said we were under .500. So I will take this and hope that V-Mart and Verlander come back and put us into the playoffs. Plus as good as Miggy is I don't think anyone wants anything to do with that contract.Probably get some nice pieces for Miggy. Blow it up and rebuild.
Oh come on. Tigers have to be considered one of the top 5 teams to win it all.Probably get some nice pieces for Miggy. Blow it up and rebuild.
So far, Miggy has lived up to his contract. Miggy does not rely on speed, so there is a reasonable chance he can continue to produce at a high level into his late 30's.I wouldn't, if you told me at the beginning of the year that the Tigers would get nothing from V-Mart, Verlander, and major slumps/erratic play from J.D., Sanchez, Davis, and Nick I would have said we were under .500. He could, but I would bet against it. Injuries seem to catch up to you when you get older. He already has had trouble finishing the last 2 years because of injuries. So far, Miggy has lived up to his contract. I screw around a lot on here but I honestly believe this team will not make the playoffs. They don't have the pitching.Oh come on. Tigers have to be considered one of the top 5 teams to win it all.Probably get some nice pieces for Miggy. Blow it up and rebuild.
Price is one of the best. Simon has pitched very well. Greene has shown good stuff at times. Sanchez has had several horrific outings, but still is capable of being quite good. Verrlander should be back in two weeks, and is still capable of being good. And DD has a month to trade for one. I still have hope. The biggest issue is KC is a very good team and the Tigers may have to settle for a play in game.I screw around a lot on here but I honestly believe this team will not make the playoffs. If I pitch for the Tigers and this is my line up, I fake an injury. This lineup bites. Too many guys given the day off.
We don't need an Ace. Really just a solid arm with an ERA in the low 3's and winning 5 games more than he loses. If Verlander can return to 2011 form and go 12-2 or so the rest of the way with a WHIP around 1 and over a K an inning this team will be fine.
That being said what starters are available??
2013 JV is fine by me.Also they don't need to trade for a starter, Buck Farmer is legit and ready IMO.We don't need an Ace. Soria, so good and he bails out a bad Brad. The comment was tongue in cheek but the Tigers are paying for the 2011 version for the next 5 years. Hopefully he can be at least a #2 guy.2013 JV is fine by me.Also they don't need to trade for a starter, Buck Farmer is legit and ready IMO.We don't need an Ace. Will he be back to make a start this weekend? Wouldn't think so as he is headed to the DR.Simon is out due to being placed on the bereavement list.
Looks like they couldn't get Ryan out there in time and Alex Wilson gets the start: http://sports.detroitnews.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=detnews&page=mlb/scores/live/lineup.aspx?gameid=441852Young2BBald said:Should be interesting to see how today's starting pitcher plays out http://www.freep.com/story/sports/mlb/tigers/2015/05/27/detroit-tigers-alfredo-simon-bereavement-kyle-ryan/27998589/Simon is out due to being placed on the bereavement list. They are going to try and get Kyle Ryan out to the West Coast in time to start (he is 0-5 in Toledo). I think I'd rather have him delayed by weather and see what the pen can do instead.
. I hope Saturday Night when I am there. It is too early for Price and I really don't want to see a reliever starting.Swing 51 said:Will he be back to make a start this weekend? Wouldn't think so as he is headed to the DR.2Young2BBald said:Simon is out due to being placed on the bereavement list.
I guess that makes his WAR 8?Fun fact: Games this year when Price was starting: 8 games over .500, games when he didn't start: 1 game under .500.
So Wilson started and did great through 3. I suppose they didn't want to get too crazy with his pitch count. Let's see if Ryan can give them a few good innings as well.Kyle Ryan pitched well last year for the Tigers in very limited action. If Wilson is pitching tonight, Ryan may not get a start. I think it will be Greene starting on Saturday, who went from awesome to terrible lately. He looked pretty good last game until the wheels completely fell off.
One of the better things this year is how well guys like Wilson have made the mlb transition, what with all the time lost with the originally projected 12 pitchers.Wilson is growing on me
vmart is the guy that scores those runs, Cespedes is no Vmart.Tigers haven't been able to score runs in Anaheim since Reagan was in office. At least I was awake to see their run score.
He's gotta a bright future in baseball, taxidermy, or animal fetish pr0n.Well, so much for my flier on Buck Farmer. City folks just don't get it.
I heard Wockenfuss owned Don Aase.Tigers haven't been able to score runs in Anaheim since Reagan was in office.
I doubt they ever score a run again. Two run scoring hits in the last four games. As a team.

VMART makes it go, I'm telling you. All the dps, caught stealing, terrible hitting w/risp is excruciating to watch.Prior to the start of the season, it didn't occur to me that scoring runs would be the Tigers problem.
This isn't very fun.
There's still time to become a Lions fanNo other team in sports can make me this angry.
