Deuce McAllister (1 Viewer)

I didn't see the entire game (saw parts of the NFL Replay), and know he left for a few series with a hamstring injury. How did he look after returning from the locker room?

Any Saints homer have updated information?

It sounds like a strained hamstring situation, but I can't find anything on it. Just finding stuff about the Saints having a bye, that it should be good to get guys healthy, etc. Nothing that specifically touchs on Deuce's injury.

Anything to be concerned about?

He came back in and looked fine. I didnt see any ill effects form that point on.

Hamstring injuries can linger and it should be something to be concerned about. Watch him over the next three weeks......it could trouble him IMO

I heard his comment (post-game) about it being fine, that RBs in the league have to play through injuries, etc. Definitely words you'd like to hear, but still....He's been a solid flex player for me.

I took him in the 8th, so don't need him to do a lot, but I really hope the hamstring injury doesn't linger :uncertain:

He had it worked on for a bit.... came back and looked to run as well as before he went out.

When he went out, it did not look like an injury as much as it may have been real tight or cramping, because he was standing on the sideline and kinda working on it before they took him in the training room for a while.

In a post game radio interview, Deuce said it had just tightened up on him a bit, basically a cramp. Said he wasn't too worried about it, especially with the bye week coming up. The only injury Payton talked about in his normal Wednesday (yesterday) press briefing was Conwell getting his knee scoped (meniscus tear, probably out 2 or 3 weeks).

Not that it means anything, but McAllisters last game vs Baltimore:

Dec 8, 2002 at Baltimore:

32rush for 127yds 3tds.

3rec, 10yds, 0tds

(Balt was 7-9 that year. Saints finished 9-7)

Any thoughts on him for THIS game then? I feel a little nervous against the Ravens as they barely give up 70 yds a game right now..... :P

This guy is the surprise RB to me this season. Only a year removed from ACL surgery and he looks like the Deuce of 2003. He looks better than he had in years. Everything was Reggie Bush coming into the season and watching the two of them run is like night and day.

Id be happy with half of that production (65 and a TD).The yards will be there, but the TD will be harder, IMO.

Sorry to hijack, but anybody see Bush becoming more of a factor in the running game moving forward?
I think Bush will become more effective and that will take a bit einto his numbers a bit.In a keep 6 league I'm offering Deuece to the Barber owner. Getting Tiki could almost lock up 1st place for me

I think they're using Bush pretty effectively as is. Unless Deuce gets hurt, I don't see them giving Bush more carries. If you recall when Deuce stepped out when he got dinged up, they started putting Stecker in his place rather than giving Bush more carries.
