Devine Mock Draft (1 Viewer)

ROUND 1

1.Rams- Ndamukong Suh DT Nebraska

This guy is too big of a talent to miss out. Bradford has injury problems and its just too costly to take a QB this early that is a ????. After picks like Russell, they find it hard to pull the trigger on Bradford, i have them taking Colt Mccoy later...

2.Detroit Lions- Russell Okung OT Oklahoma St

Easiest pick. With all the money put into Stafford they need to keep him safe.

3.Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Gerald McCoy DT Oklahoma

Good fit in that defense. Maybe better than Suh, they are glad to take him and plug him right in.

4.Cleveland Browns (Trade picks 7 and 85 to Washington)- Sam Bradford QB Oklamhoma

Holmgrem couldnt pass on this. Wants to come in and make some immediate differences. Give him a year to learn behind Delhomme and get his feet set. I think its a perfect fit.

5.Kansas City Chiefs- Eric Berry S Tennessee

This guy gets compared to Ed Reed. Hes a difference maker and just one of those players you cant pass up on.

6. Seattle Seahawks- Bruce Cambell OT Maryland

No matter who they plug in at QB they are going to need to protect them and there are alot of options at tackle. Cambell tested very well and moved up on there boards enough to find himself at this spot. With the loss of Jones, this is an obv pick.

7. Washington Redskins (Traded pick 4 to Cleveland)- Bryan Baluga OT Iowa

After the McNabb trade they obv do not need a QB, now they need to protect them. I dont think there is a huge difference in the top OTs available and they are happy getting which ever one they land.

8. Oakland Raiders- Jason Pierre-Paul DE/OLB South Florida

This guy is an athletic freak which Davis loves. I see him flying up draft boards. I think this is a reach but no one is surprised.

9. Buffalo Bills- Trent Williams OT Oklahoma

Alot of needs here. I think the new management tries to build up from the inside by getting an OT or DT. With Butler retiring, they are desperate at OT. Starting the new Bills with a young line to merge well together.

10. Jacksonville Jaguars- Jimmy Clausen QB Notre Dame

I think he is a great fit. Hes a tough kid who is mobile but no Garrard. I think they need to switch up their offense and get away from QBs like Garrard and the likes of a QB like Tebow.

11. Denver Broncos- Ranoldo McCain ILB Alabama

There is a void at this spot and even though its early for an ILB, this guy is good. McDaniels would love to have him sure up that defense.

12. Miami Dolphins- Dez Bryant WR Oklahoma St

Not a usual Parcells pick but they need a true #1 WR and Bryant is just that. Parcells isnt worried about his off the field issues. Ginn is a good deep threat, but Henne needs a WR like Bryant.

13. San fran 49rs- Joe Hayden CB Florida

They love that he fell this far. Regardless of his slow 40 time, this guy can play. Will be a great addition and depth.

14. Seattle Seahawks- C.J. Spiller RB Clemson

Thought about taking him with their early pick, and glad he made it here. He is a game breaker in the offense and special teams. Still going to add a bigger RB later in the draft.

15. New York Giants- Derrick Morgan DE Georgia Tech

Their defense definatly needed help and this is a good fit. Some have him as the top DE in the draft.

16. Tennesee Titans- Everson Griffen DE USC

Filling the void left by KVB, was hoping Morgan fell one more but I think they will be happy with Griffen.

17. San Fran 49rs- Taylor Mays S USC

Another one of those athletic freaks. Singletary will have a ball with this guy.

18. Pittsburgh Steelers- Maurkice Pouncy G/C Florida

This guy has good versitillity and will be some needed help to their O-line. Trying to get back to a tougher Pitt team.

19. Atlanta Falcons- Sean Witherspoon OLB Wake Forest

Almost went Graham here but Witherspoon is too good to pass up.

20. Houston Texans- Kyle Wilson CB Boise St

Another guy who proved himself at the Senior Bowl and shot up. Alot of people want Mathews here but I dont see them addressing it this early.

21. Cincinnati Bengals- Bryan Price DT UCLA

A much needed upgrade at the DT positions, no problems with this pick.

22. New England Patriots- Jared Odrick DT/DE Penn St

After losing Seymor they need to replace him, and hes a good fit.

23. Grean Bay Packers- Devin McCourtney CB Rutgers

With aging CBs they look to add some depth. Wouldve prefered Wilson.

24. Philly Eagles- Earl Thomas S Texas

A mixture of need and talent available. Good pick.

25. Baltimore Ravens- Jermaine Greshem TE Oklahoma St

Easy, Heap is aging, needs some more offensive fire power.

26. Arizona Cardinals- Anthony Davis OT Rutgers

Neither of the QBs they have release the ball like Warner did so they need some line help to give their young QB some time in the pocket.

27. Dallas Cowboys- Mike Iupati G Idaho

Dallas is known for there O-line, he is a great fit.

28. San Diego Chargers- Dan Williams NT Tennessee

Needs to fill this position, I think Williams is passing Cody due to Codys weight issues. RB is a need but will be addressed later.

29. New York Jets- Sergio Kindle DE/OLD Texas

Gholston was a bust, so they try it again.

30. Minnesota Vikings- Kareem Jackson CB Alabama

More CBs taken in the first than I thought, but its a need of theirs so they pull the trigger.

31. Indy Colts- Rodger Saffold OT Indiana

They definatly need help at OT, it was just who they went with. Saffold is sliding up the boards, and goes before Brown.

32. New Orlean Saints- Brandon Graham DE Michigan

Good pick for them to add to that fast defense.

ROUND 2

33. St Louis Rams- Carlos Dunlap DE Florida

34. Detroit Lions- Geno Atkins DT Georgia

35. Tampa Bay Bucs- Arrelious Benn WR Illinois

36. Kansas City- Terrance Cody NT Alabama

37. Philly Eagles- Daryl Washington TCU

38. Cleveland Browns- Golden Tate WR Notre Dame

39. Oakland Raiders- Cam Thomas NT North Carolina

40. San Diego Chargers- Ryan Matthews RB Fresno St

41. Buffalo Bills- Tim Tebow QB Florida

42. Tampa Bay Bucs- Charles Brown OT USC

43. Miami Dolphins- Jerry Hughes OLB TCU

44. New England Patriots- Brandon LaFell WR LSU

45. Denver Broncos- J.D. Walton C Baylor

46. New York Giants- Tyson Alualu DT Cal

47. New England Patriots- Jason Worilds OLB Virginia Tech

48. Carolina Panthers- Marty Gilyard WR Cinncinnatti

49. SF 49rs- Vladimir DuCasse OT UMass

50. Kansas City Cheifs- Damian Williams WR USC

51. Houston Texans- Lamarr Houston DT Texas

52. Pittsburgh Steelers- Brandon Ghee CB Wake Forest

53. New England Patroits- Aaron Hernandez TE Florida

54. Cinncinnatti Bengals- Nate Allen FS South Florida

55. Philly Eagles- Dominique Franks CB Oklahoma

56. Green Bay Packers- Javid Best RB Cal

57. Baltimore Ravens- Gilbert Arenas CB Alabama

58. Arisona Cardinals- Koa Misi OLB Utah

59. Dallas Cowboys- Morgan Burnette FS Georgia Tech

60. Seattle Seahawks- Demarious Thomas WR Georgia Tech

61. New York Jets- Chad Jones S LSU

62. Min Vikings- Arthur Jones DT Syracuse

63. Indy Colts- Corey Wooton DE Northwestern

64. New Orleans Saints- Dakota Watson OLB Florida St

I like how you're bold enough to switch things up like the Rams passing on Bradford. If they do you can almost count on someone trading up to get him. Cleveland makes perfect sense to go after him hard if he somehow does not get taken with the 1st overall pick.

I don't agree with you about certain OT's but when draft time comes around you never know. Every year players jump up and fall in the draft and I don't see any reason that players like Saffold can't go ahead of Charles Brown.

I like to think that more than one WR and one RB get drafted in the 1st, but I like how SD still got thier guy and will make an easy 1.2 rookie pick.

As a Bills homer I like the Trent Williams pick and LOVE the Tebow pick. I don't care what some of the haters out there say, but Tebow has what it takes to be a very good QB in the NFL. I don't like much about Chan Gailey but I do think he can help someone like Tebow. I said this before, but if Gailey can get good numbers out of Thigpen then imagaine what he can do with Tebow who is ten times the player Thigpen is.

Good mock.

ROUND 1

21. Cincinnati Bengals- Bryan Price DT UCLA

A much needed upgrade at the DT positions, no problems with this pick.
I don't think that's true. Peko, Tank, and Sims with some Fanene sprinkled in is a pretty good tackle rotation. You have better players at bigger needs still on the board. I like the second round pick. I like both Miami picks also. :goodposting:

comical on Detroit passing up McCoy for Okung, and Bradford will be going 1 imo.
If Bradford does go #1 then I can't see the Lions passing on Suh. They just traded for OG Barry Sims yesterday so it appears they will slap the band-aid on the O-line for this year and hope it keeps Stafford partially breathing at least.

I think you got Dallas pretty well lined up with Iupati and Burnett. Both of those guys are scheduled to visit Valley Ranch. Both fit the profiles of the proto types the team looks for. Both appropriately graded for where they are drafted. Both fit needs. Good job on that call.

Now about Bradford.....I'll let others have their say.

Dez Bryant will not go to Miami if Tuna has any power left over whatsoever. He hates 1st round WRs. He doubly hates knuckleheads. I don't care if he's as talented as Larry Fitzgerald. I don't care what Miami's glaring needs are. Tuna will not allow that particular pick to occur. Period.

That would be Rob Sims.

If we think Okung is a franchise LT, I can see us passing on McCoy for him. Sims is on a one year contract and Backus has two or three left. We'll need to draft a LT with a first round pick soon, and if we think Okung is a special type of LT, it could be this year (only if Suh isn't available). I don't see us passing on Suh if he's there though. I think Bradford goes #1 and we take Suh

Youre right, I was only going to do 1st round and decided to give the second round a go late so I got a little mixed up but its fixed. I have KC taking a WR which they need, and Cinn getting Nate Allen instead of Cook.

99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 chance the Rams take Bradford
I knew this would be something most people would be responding. I wanted to switch it up a little. Also I think alot of people are overlooking how much taking a QB is going to cost at that first pick. Staffords contract was crazy high and Bradfords will only be worse. I know they would love to have him but it just might be too unsure of a pick for the money they would have to pay. What Im not sure of, is what changed everyones mind since the end of the season, where some had Clausen ranked higher that Bradford and he wasnt the clear cut number one QB? And everyone had Suh going one overall? Bradford hasnt done THAT much to improve his status, and the Rams QB situation really hasnt changed seeing Bulger, there or not, wasnt the solution. Im wondering if all the hype is indeed just something on forums and not for real in the NFL draft boards. I guess we will find out...

I dont think it matters what his drafting style usually is. You dont really pass up on something like this esp when you NEED a true #1. Henne showed he can play and its time to get him a weapon. They ran the ball well but when it came time to put a game away or make a big third down there wasnt anyone to count on. Now they have that guy.

Think what you want. But I can tell you from watching Parcells closely for 4 years in Dallas that he absolutely and vehemently opposes first round WRs. He made repeated comments on the subject during his press conferences, most of which I listened to. Add to that fact that Bryant has a number of red flags for personal issues. Tuna is a strong believer in clearing out knuckleheads. Add it all up and the odds of him going to Miami are almost zero. People who haven't followed Parcells closely just don't get the level of disdain he has for both types (1st WRs and knuckleheads).

Chris Mortensen, of ESPN, reports Miami Dolphins vice president of football operations Bill Parcells loves the idea of being a mentor to Oklahoma State WR Dez Bryant and is close with Bryant's agent, Eugene Parker. However, Mortensen added he is not sure if Parcells will pull the trigger and select Bryant in the NFL Draft.

Rams | GM says team may not select quarterback with No. 1 pick Wed Apr 7, 10:24 AM

The Associated Press reports St. Louis Rams general manager Billy Devaney said it is far from certain that the team will select a quarterback with the first overall pick in the NFL Draft, even though the Rams recently released QB Marc Bulger. Devaney said Tuesday, April 6, that the game plan hasn't changed even though the move leaves them with three inexperienced quarterbacks on the roster. Devaney said several players remain under consideration for the No. 1 pick, and refused to tip his hand whether Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford was at the top of the list.

Nice quotes.

A couple of questions for you.

1) What do you expect the Rams GM to say?

2) Who was the last player that Parcells mentored?

Then why would Parcells say it? Im just going off of what was quoted. If you are wondering why Parcells said it you will have to ask him or Mort. Just because its not his latest trend doesnt rule it out. Parcells is going to do what is best for his football team and if Bryant is whats best, he'll pick him.

I get you think that the Rams will take Suh at 1, but why would they spend their second pick on another D-Lineman? You think they're going to go into the season with AJ Feeley and Null at QB after they just released Bulger?

I know a player visiting a team is just part of the process but Colt McCoy visiting the Rams just backs up my predicitons. Also, Trent Dilfer also backs up what I am trying to get at with my mock draft. Im not saying he's the know all end all of football but it is possible that the Rams will see the same thing with Bradford and take alot more safe of a pick in Suh. Especially for the money they are going to have to pay for that pick.

I have them making moves to get C.McCoy and I think that their second round pick is a little too much of a reach, so maybe they try to trade up and get him mid to late second. Maybe even try their luck on waiting for him to land on their third rounder, and if that falls threw grab someone like Snead.

Despite popular opinion, I think this is how it should go.
I would love it if that happened and we got McCoy in the second or even traded up to get Clausen in the late first.
I'm agreeing with this sentiment more and more. Also, there is the Campbell-factor (heck even Vick) if the Rams get into too big of a QB emergency. The Rams need everything and should take BPA. It's beginning to shape up as if we could very well get a nice shot at a good QB prospect in McCoy or Clausen at a relative good value. I really wouldn't mind trading out of picks 1.1 and/or 2.1 to pick up additional selections. As I said, they need just about everything. This mock has the Rams taking Suh and Dunlap. I am doubting that happens but it certainly would give the team an extremely young and talented defensive front with Long and Carriker.

As an Eagles fan I would be very happy with getting Thomas and not having to move up to get him and I also like Washington in round two but I would much rather have Morgan Burnette at the end of round two then Franks but I wouldn't complain with these three picks.

Best Dolphins Mock I could hope for - WR Bryant in round one and OLB Hughes in the second.

Bradford still goes #1 IMO. However, if he does fall to #4 Cleveland definitely needs to work a deal with the Redskins to move up and get Bradford or else he WILL be gone at 6 to Seattle. I bet the 'Skins are hoping that Okung falls to #4 and the commish would have the pick in his hand as soon as Tampa makes theirs.

Seattle could really parlay their two picks if Bradford made it to them at 6 and Spiller at 14, but amongst unpopular consensus with my Niner fans I would like them to nab Spiller at 13. Alex Smith needs all the offensive weapons he can get if he's ever gonna be successful, which he could go either way IMO. It would be hard to pass on Joe Haden and I'd be alright if they took him over Spiller. They also badly need to address the O-line which you have them grabbing one in the 2nd but if any of the 4 OL that went in your top 10 are there at 17 they need to take them.

yet more talk on FBG about the likely hood of Bryant going to Miami. With the reports of them needing that big time WR, my draft is actually looking better and better as it gets closer to draft day!

Not that I would disagree, but if there were any bets out there that would reflect those kind of odds you are suggesting, I would certainly put my money on Bradford not getting drafed. I do not comprehend how people know this with such a high percentage of certainty. That said, I am guessing Rams would select Bradford here (especially with the recent successful picks at QB position). Yet if I were running the show, I would draft Suh, get a FA QB and heck trade like a 6th rouder for likes of Vick (if Santonio Holmes is woth a 5th...). Then I would draft another lineman either on the offensive or the defensive side. Perhaps it would be a mess, but that is what I would do. Then again, I am not running the Rams... and most probably for a good reason.

You have Colt McCoy being undrafted in the first two rounds. Very little chance of that happening.

Well I have a feeling Stl trades up into the late second to get him but I wasnt going to even start to try to figure that into my mock. If not Stl, i could see one of the teams with an ealry 3rd trading up for him.
