Dexter Jackson signs with the Bengals (1 Viewer)

Wow...does this signing imply M Williams will be moved to SS??

I cannot see Dexter Jackson as the starting SS. In fact, I cannot see Dexter Jackson starting PERIOD, but the 4-year contract implies otherwise.

he's not a starter anymore. is KK in cincy leaving or something? KK's #'s are not bad but I'm not a Cincy fan so maybe I'm missing something.

Jackson is a guy that needs to be in the right system to succeed. I can see him being a solid starter for that unit for the next few years. The Bucs didn't retain him simply because Will Allen is about to become a perennial pro bowler.

Saintfool - KK's number belie the liability he was. Out of position, giving up extra yards, IIRC

well, i think if there is a glaring weakness of the cincy defense then it's it's safeties. i find it hard to believe that a guy who tallied a combined 87 tackles, playing all 16 games, is an signficant upgrade over a who has played a combined 17 games in 2 years, totalling 60 tackles in that time. as i understand it, Dex is a fine safety but only if you run a classic cover 2 (which is why we didn't do much in his . KK may be a liability but i'm not sure DJ is an upgrade...

4 yrs/7.6 million according to ESPN.

I'll trust Marvin as to what kind of fit he is.

Looks like Kim Herring goes bye-bye with this. :hey:
