I offered Cooks and ASJ for Peterson and he countered with Dez and ASJ for Peterson

He has Pryor and Rishard Mathews too maybe I could get one of those to even out the trade a little

I think this is a bit of an overpayment for AP.  This is definitely paying full value plus some after his optimal game.  That game script was perfect for him and the Cards pounded him.  I would expect that to be his best game of the season.  Don't get me wrong, I think AP will be a high end RB2 with some RB1 weeks but that first game was definitely his ceiling and I don't think he hits it again. 

Either way you are either in need of a RB2 or if you trade away Dez in need of a WR2.   Without knowing what your waiver wire looks like I would assume there are more quality WR's available to help replace Dez.  This trade is a damned if you do and damned if  you don't type of deal.  I don't know if it really helps your team or just shifts around your weakness.  Tough call.  I probably stick with Dez and look for another way to improve at RB2
