Trying the Open Beta now, and I'm really liking it - gorgeous (in a "blood dripping off the walls" sorta way), fun gameplay that seems to merge Diablo II-III style characters with a Path of Exile type skill system. They may have stuck the landing on this one, assuming they get the few bugs worked out, and don't try to introduce any of the abominable money-grabbing from Diablo Immortal.

1) I'm stuck on level 2, can't beat the Boss monster
2) pretty much the same as old Diablo but with better graphics...which I'm fine with...pretty awesome it's free.

I have been watching on twitch since early access and it looks quite decent.

I probably won't play because I am a Path of Exile player but D4's enormous initial popularity will be fantastic going forward as Path of Exile launches POE2 so I hope D4 does very well.

I played Diablo III for about an hour, and never played again. All of my comparisons are for Diablo II.

Compared to Diablo II, the skill tree in Diablo IV is HUGE!

When watching players use the tiny skill D4 skill tree, I keep wondering "where are the other 1200 skill tree points to choose from?" Lol. I am happy the game seems good to most people, the ARPG genre did not need a flop here and needs some one to keep POE on their toes.

I like buying physical games. Just kind of my thing. I am picking up my copy today from GameStop as they got a bunch more in. Can’t wait to get started.

Same went Ice Shards. One shotting crowds with Frost Nova just feels so good.

I started as chain lightning but got tired of the loop of spending all your mana in one second then running around doing nothing until it comes back and your cooldowns are up.

I switched to an ice shards build around level 35 and there's much less waiting for mana and cooldowns.

It's about making your guy as powerful as possible. I like it
