Did INDY ice Brown before FG at end of 2nd Quarter? (1 Viewer)

I know Indy called TO before Brown kicked the 56 yard FG before halftime.

But did he get the kick off that was nullified by the timeout? And did he make it?

I know he made the real one after the timeout.

Thanks.

J

Nah, if I remember right he halfkicked/shanked it...didn't he? I'll rewatch it in a sec. Pretty sure he didn't really give it a full go.

That's my recollection. I think it only went about half the distance, but they only showed it live and without replay, so could not decipher what caused the ball to fall that short.

I wasn't paying much attention, but I thought Caldwell pulled that "TO before the snap" BS that was popular a couple of years ago. I thought Brown got it blocked or he may have shanked it. Either way, the TO nullified that attempt, then he drilled the next one.

Can't remember if it was shanked or blocked, but he missed the first attempt and drilled the second thru

Yes this is what happened. Blocked kick. Time out and Texans made repeat kick. Colt fan board was going nuts they were used to Dungy who didn't like to try and ice kicker.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking.Just one more reason I hate the ice the kicker move. Can you imagine if Caldwell had tried to ice Brown on the final kick and the miss didn't count? Then Brown might have made the 2nd one?J
