Anybody got one of the newer model diesel engine cars? BMW or VW? Audi? Other?

Looking for something in the 45 to 50 mpg range, reliable, not ridiculously pricey.

We have a 2006 MB e320 CDI which gets 37mpg hwy while providing 400+ ft/lbs of torque in a full size luxury sedan. Currently has 125k miles on it and running strong. Not one squeak or rattle. Gets 600 miles per tank
