DirecTV OnDemand sucks (1 Viewer)

It sucks balls.

Been trying for 45 mins to rent a movie. Just not possible. It's horrible. Keeps asking me to subscribe to the channel. NO, I JUST WANT TO RENT BRIDGE OF SPIES!!!! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK??

 :wall:

So we rented Black Mass last week and after that, someone locked our ability to rent movies. The lady on the phone didn't know why, but she unlocked it and this morning we are back in business.

So stupid.

Those still exist??? I can't recall the last time I saw one in my area.
Partially kidding. There are still some stores left here and there.

I was more reveling in the dichotomy of America pushing out an affordable solution that worked for one that even in the age of the internet, is still an inferior experience. Amazing that it's still just not there yet.

Mr. Pack is having some trouble with DirectTV but I can watch nearly anything I want to watch, right this very second, without leaving my house or putting clothes on.

That beats getting dressed, driving to the store, etc.

I hear you. The demise of home video was written as soon as the internet was invented. And one person's bad experience with a streaming movie should not condemn the many advantages of movies delivered through pipes.

But at $4.99 a pop and $5.99 for an HD movie via DirecTv that's still high in my opinion considering the decreased costs of delivery, at least in the Midwest. People complain about movie theater pricing which is a relative bargain. :hijack:
