Divisional Round Game Thread - Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants (2 Viewers)

Great effort by McNabb there but good call. I don't care how well the Eagles defense plays. The can't win this game without any offense can they?

Only if Samuel and Co. keep getting picks.Thsi game is going exactly the way most of us thought it would. Low scoring and close.

Am I the only Giants fan that gets nervous every time Eli drops back to pass?
The majority of teams would love to have Eli as their starting qb. Not sure why you get nervous. He made one really bad pass this game. Other than that, he's playing ok (not great but not terrible).

Carney misses the FG.

Still 7-5 Phillies over Mets.

Damn I thought it was obvious McNabb was going to throw downfield and he got turned as he was throwing. The refs need to be better than that.

I don't know, i don't watch Eli enough but i haven't seen too many spirals. Seems like quite a bit are looking a little "duckish"

Good post.J
 Absolutely. People have to ralize that these guys are playing in cold and extremely windy conditions. Weather teh wind is at your back or in your face, it still makes passing very difficult.Anyone looking for a 300 yard performance by either of these guys is going to be sadly mistaken.QBs and kickers are going to have a tough time today. Not turning it over is going to determine who wins this one.

Wonder who is more nervous with their QB right now, Philly fans or Giant fans...

Don't think OP meant that Eli was bad, just that he looks a little "off" today, which I agree with. I'm not saying there aren't reasons, and I'm not saying he's a bad QB, but based on what we've seen so far, I'd be a nervous Giants fan today as well.Of course, I'd be a nervous Eagles fan as well based on what we've seen out of McNabb, so it probably doesn't matter.

That's exactly my point. Their 'offness' isnot just a coincidence.

Not that I like the INT, but I like that McNabb threw that pass.

Not throwing it is a sack and a punt. The throw gave them a shot and wound up NYG ball at the 20 - not much difference.

Giants seem to be doing a lot of misdirections this drive, as they've noticed the eagles overpursuing. Its working pretty well for them :goodposting:

Very important for the Eagles D to hold them to a FG here. A touchdown right before the half tends to be a big momentum swinger. Down 8-7, after playing so poorly, wouldn't be so bad.

the Eagles get the ball in the second half so yes a FG would be better, but a TD won't kill them too much

This is what I am talking about

They run all the way down here now Eli throwing the ball and almost gets picked WTF ?

Turn around and hand the damn ball off
