nah..it's not about momentum loss though (as aikman was saying) ...it's because you lose any field position advantage an eagles stop would provide because halftime is imminent

Good point but the eagles have shown nothing at all on offense. Is it really end of the world if the Giants are stopped? ON the other hand, if they get a td, they put a ton of pressure on an Eagles offense which looks inept.

Disagree. 40 seconds is enough time to throw a nice pass down the middle and still spike it. It won't take nearly 40 seconds to do that. As it stood they even ran it up the middle and spiked it.

phew, not sure my heart can take the 2nd half. some thoughts...
- eagles have no business being up at the half here. Defense stepping up and poor play by Eli is keeping them in this (ahead)
- too many deep routes early by the eagles O. Glad to see them switch to crossing and short routes toward the end of the half
- Westbrook looks stiff and slow. he may be more hurt than they let on
- Could aikman just come right out and cheer for the giants already? Jeez, its unbelievable how biased he is

Eagles have outplayed the Giants when it comes to being in scoring range. The Giants have been in scoring range 3 times and came away only with 6 points. The Eagles have been there just twice but have 10 points.

how can they call intentional grounding whne McNabb was being hit as he threw... I think he was probably throwing it away,.. but its possible being hit could have affected the trajectory leading to a ball where no receiver was.. no?

The Giants have to run the ball more on 2nd down. Eli is not going to win this game. They're able to run the ball but they just all of a sudden stop when it's working.
