Divisions in Dynasty Leagues (1 Viewer)

Do you ever redraw divisions or keep them the same forever. In one of my 10 team leagues one division has 4 quality teams and the other only one thus making it easier for the one team to win his division. We currently have the top 3 in each division based off of record making the playoffs. I think it is time to redraw. But should we and if so should it be done every year??

Divisons are changed every year: 1-6-7-12 / 2-5-8-11 / 3-4-9-10...

Based on last year's rankings (first 4 teams making the playoffs ... two teams meeting in the finals are ranked 1 and 2)... 11 is the loser of the Toilet Bowl (in fact, the winner of that game)... 12 is the Toilet Bowl champion

On records... and ties are broken by the same way they are broken at the end of the regular season

I'm against changing divisions. I know I enjoy the rivalries that get created within my divisions. I've also seen my divisions swing from having me be a top team and everyone else stinks, to all 4 teams in the division contending for the point total in the league. Just in the course of 2-3 seasons.

I think a better fix for your situation is to only have the top 2 teams make the playoffs and then take 2 wildcards which are the remaining team with the best record, and the from what's left the remaining team with the highest total points.

Then even a top team whose record suffers because of his division being a murderer's row could still make it in by virtue of how much he scored.

I agree, teams can change in a season or 2. I think team 5 Division B is going to be good next year(RBs- R. Brown, Caddy, Bush)

Isn’t the idea of playing in a dynasty league to build a dynasty?

Wouldn’t changing the divisions negate this?

Should an owner be punished for building a team that will compete for /dominate the division/league for a few years?

Not against your solution with 5and6 but what if everyone does not go for it.I don't think you have a good point here though. Just a senario but what if after 6 years 4 of the 5 teams in my division worked hard to make their teams good. But 2 of the 5 teams in your division worked hard at making their teams good. In this senario I have to battle 3 others to win my division when your division is a head to head battle.You see, you nor I control our competitions passion. But you can by some other peoples suggestions and to some extent yours keep the top teams in the playoffs. I just hope that everyone votes.

In my 12 team Dynasty league we use the top one team in each division and then the remaining teams with the best record.

You and I know we will NOT get 10 votes. 5 or 6 owners just do not care what the rules are. They think it is my job as commish to control this.What IFs are hard with the luck factor in FF

I will be changing the playoff format to what I think (since most owners will not vote) to benefit the league
