Is this the week he starts becoming a valuable DB? I've grabbed him off waivers and he's going into the lineup this weekend.
In the wait and see category for me but I am keeping track and he is in the 'reason for optimism' group of players and great that he is doing well with his opportunities.DJ's been my favorite safety from this class from last November, seemingly. He and Cyprien were neck and neck for me, but just like what I saw when I got to watch Swearinger play a bit more.
Been sitting on him in a couple of keeper/dynasty leagues, expecting '14 would be the earliest he contributed. Very interested to see what he can do with the remainder of this year. Starting him in one league, playing the "show me" game in another where I have safer(at present) options.
All aboard the "shut em down" train. So far this train isn't as fun as I thought it would be.
Thanks for the insights, I was wondering what happened myself.Trail derailment. I need to go back and watch more of the game, but for the pieces I did see, I saw them use him in a variety of ways, none of which produced much in the way of tackles. It seemed to me that when covering guys close to the line, he played them really tight and Luck would go to another read if he looked in Swearinger's direction. And then I saw him doubling deep WRs several times and Luck would throw it short on a check-down. He looks really fast and capable, but he sure didn't do a whole heck of a lot last night.
hit it square on the headDJ has a ton of swag and is a total headhunter in the hole, but he is often out of position and a complete liability in coverage right now.
Good question.TheBottomLine said:Not saying the guy is a top 10 dynasty DB but how in the world is this guy nowhere to be found in the dynasty DB rankings?? There are plenty of chumps on there, yet DJ doesn't belong?
