Concussion, right?

Does that mean he automatically sits a week?

Broncos ILB D.J. Williams (concussion) practiced Wednesday and appears good to go for Week 12.

Williams was knocked out Monday night's game and didn't return. It's a surprise he was able to return to practice just two days after the injury and it's huge news for the Broncos, as Williams is the key cog in the team's defense.

It appears the concussion that Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams received while making a tackle midway through the third quarter Monday night in San Diego has sufficiently cleared.

Though the concussion knocked Williams out for the rest of the game, he was back practicing Wednesday.

Great news!

Denver Broncos LB D.J. Williams (concussion) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 25.

Found it on MFL

Denver Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels said Thursday, Nov. 25, that the team will continue to monitor LB D.J. Williams (head) to make sure he has no recurring concussion symptoms, according to Lindsay Jones of The Denver Post.

I hope this is a good sign.

(RotoWire) Williams (concussion) was limited at practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams, the Broncos' official site reports. Analysis: Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post says that Williams -- the Broncos' leading tackler -- is expected to play this week, but his status will be worth double-checking prior to Sunday's 4:15 ET kickoff.

I'd go Mays. He's outproduced DJ the past two weeks. With the DUI and now the concussion, DJ's got too much baggage to trust.

Mays has been playing while Ayers was out.Looks like Ayers will play again this week, so I'm not sure what's going to happen with Mays...If DJ plays, he's starting for me.Eph

But Ayers is an OLB. His playing status should have no affect on Mays, an ILB.

Ayers went down week 5, so Denver switched to a 4-3 for awhile. But they switched back to the 3-4 a few weeks ago, with Mays starting at ILB alongside DJ. Ayers being back will affect Mario Haggan or Jason Hunter, the other OLBs.

Wasn't Haggan playing inside before all the injuries?
If Williams plays, I think Ayers goes back into an OLB rotation with Haggan/Hunter. If Williams doesn't play, I think the rotation depends on whether Ayers is ready to play every down and what the coaches think of Wes Woodyard. If Ayers can play every down and the Woodyard isn't thought of as a viable every-down backup, Haggan probably moves back inside. If Ayers isn't ready and/or Woodyard can hold up, then Ayers probably just plays on nickel downs for Jason Hunter, with Haggan staying outside and Mays/Woodyard inside. With Williams seemingly likely to play, Ayers' return likely affects only Hunter.

If DJ plays today, will he be a 3-down LB? Thx.

I would think so. He was last week after returning from suspension. Though he's nothing special, he's their best cover linebacker. If he's cleared to take snaps, he should be able to take both base defensive and nickel snaps.

I heard a rumor this guy might have a torn bursa sac in his elbow? Assuming this is true can he play through the injury?

Sounds like he may be able to play with it, but not be able to use the arm as well.

Mays also got hurt. Some unknown knee injury.

Woodyard may be seeing a lot more playing time coming up.

Does this help DJ's value with Mays being done for the season? And who fills in for DJ, Woodyard or however you spell it?

DJ was at his highest value when they ran the 4-3 for a few games with previous LB injuries. Now that they are short handed at the LB position again its going to be interesting to see what they do.

Doesn't matter what the team does if DJ is out with a serious injury. Is he hurt? I've read a lot of stuff today on him, and most of it doesn't talk about him getting hurt at all, but a few reports say his arm is jacked up.
