It's possible that Russia is responsible, but it's also quite possible that a disgruntled NSA person, a former DNC employee, or someone else in the "inner circle of corruption" leaked all of this.  I think it's irresponsible though to have HRC ratchet up the Russia is Guilty talk without this being the official position from our NSA, FBI or Homeland Security.  The former NSA director has went on record saying he doubts this is coming from Russia.

Adding to all of this, Podesta lost his phone.  His password sounds like a codebreaker's nightmare too.  It was p###w0rd.  LOL

It seems Homeland Security did comment on it, as well as the Director of National Intelligence. They issued a joint report on behalf of the US Intelligence Community. If they are correct, why jump feet first into a pile of Russian gathered intel and take it as gospel? Do you really feel comfortable running with this before it is cleared of being Russian propoganda meant to sway our election? I wouldn't care if it was attacking the RNC or the DNC, I'd be wary of cherry-picked intel, key contextual omissions and straight-up manipulations. Personally, I want it vetted before I lend it that much weight.

That's the DNC.  I don't believe these agencies talked about the Podesta files. WikiLeaks themselves heavily hinted that the leak came from murdered DNC staffer Seth Rich.

Vetted by who?  The people in power who want to remain in power?  It's like letting the drug and insurance companies write the ACA bill or defense contractors help setting the defense budget.

Haven't followed all that close, but it's my understanding that "Russia" hacked the DNC servers and Podesta was phished.  If it was the same people, I have no idea...it doesn't seem to matter at this point.

It's because they view globalism and war with Russia as a bigger threat to world peace than Trump.  I do too. :shrug:

This is right up there with "Trump never pays taxes!" God forbid the American public gets educated on how 2/20 net operating loss carry forwards work for business losses incurred (and are a part of the IRS code). "Russia hacked the DNC!" is really Podesta got phished...but American voters are dumb, so run with the Russia hacked DNC angle, (insert name of media outlet).

I just hope to read in Podesta's autobiography at some point in the future that the free mystery shopping experience that he received via email from the National Sweepstakes Bureau was magical.

:confused:   So the DNC wasn't hacked?  It was just Podesta?  I thought both happened :oldunsure:   The former happening several months ago during the primaries and the latter happening in the last few weeks.

You could be totally right, I don't know what to believe at this point. Either could be true until the FBI releases completed investigation results to the public into what Russia has hacked/compromised and the depths of it, which would likely take until well after the election is over. I'm just speculating at this point myself.

The emails have to be out there.  This site list many possible places backups could exist.  The server host, the host had a backup, someone transfered it all to Gmail, so Google could have them, and finally the NSA.  The bottom of the article mentions Kim Dotcom, and said he knows where they have been collecting every email for years, because they used it in the case vs him. . And have the capacity to keep every daily email for 50years.  Wow!  That should be bigger need than someone destroying the trump star on the walk of fame.

I'm sure this has been covered in the 40 pages so far, but is it odd that none of the emails are directly to or from HC?  They are all her aides, but I'd have to imagine they would communicate to her at some point directly or she did to them.  Is WikiLeaks saving the best for last...

Is it just me or is this not a huge 'disappointment.

I think I might have first posted about DotCom's claims February of 2015 or so. He has been crowing about this for over a year. And this is it? He thinks the NSA has the Hillary emails and he's just telling them to release them?

Hillary had an open web server with no encryption with portal ID and configuration information on the open web and none of these big time hackers got to her cache?

I'm not discounting that different parties (pick your flavor) have them, but for what they do they have to do better than this.

Emails to and from Hillary have been posted, but they are not from her server, they are from Podesta's gmail and a few others's email services/servers, except for the Foia stuff that WL already recycled a few months back.
