This time last year most people felt the same way. Henry's best days were behind him and in the nfl's drug program, and Bennett was a 2nd receiver on most NFL rosters. Wade was a non-factor.

To simply answer the question... yes.

Jordan, Rhodes and Porter (998, ok?) all have 1,000 yard seasons to their credit. Heck, even Travis Taylor is more accomplished than any WR on the Titans roster.

Probably.

My sub-question: Will it matter?

sub-answer: NO. Tennessee will still finish .500 or better.

Unlikely. They have a bad defense, an average-at-best- offensive line, and lost their 2 of their 3 most talented skill players. They have a complete lack of talent on both sides of the ball.

Average O-line? That shows you know nothing about titans football.

His comment "complete lack of talent on both sides of the ball" confirms it.

It's not even close. The Titans starting wr's would be backups on nearly every NFL team and the RB's have HUGE question marks.

true, but the Raiders at least have Jerry Porter.
and Curry and Jordan and Rhodes. Heck, Crockett and Fargas have proven more than anyone of the Titan roster.

:D Fisher can work with literal crap and still go .500
:goodposting: :goodposting: they went 6-1 to end last season.this team has a LOT of underrated talent on it, and all they really need is a good WR to add to the mix ( that is, if White prospers at RB, otherwise they'll need a RB, too)..Fisher is one of the best coaches in the NFL, period. With or without talent, his teams play hard..

I think he'd have a hard time, and get very dirty, working with literal crap.

What part of being ranked 27th in offense and 32nd in defense in 2006 negates that statement?

Ouch. Npw that hurts. :pokey:

They aren't very good, but I think Jacksonville is in the running as well. Their WR's and TE's aren't very good. Also, the Texans have some issues but AJ and Green can at least make some plays.

Tennessee seems just about as screwed as they did last year, well, truthfully much moreso. Their running game will only get going if Brown resigns, and even then it will be a hodgepodge mix at best. WRs are just freaking terrible. Jax is waaay better off with the talent they have.

The o-line is actually morphing in to a better-then-average unit. The skill players aren't great by any stretch of the imagination, but this is a team that has rarely had anyone outside of the QB that was worth a lick. Derrick Mason was a kick returner before turning in to a 100 catch guy. Bennett was a quarterback. The last "star" non-QB they had outside of McNair and George was Carl Pickens, and they didn't even really need him to win.

Do I wish they had Donte Stallworth or Joe Horn or Keyshaun catching balls? Do I wish that they'd ended up with Dom Rhodes or kept Travis Henry?

Certainly. But I think that while they may not be an offensive juggernaut and will likely disappoint from a fantasy perspective, I think they'll be able to mvve the ball well enough to win some games.

The only other team that's close is Miami.

- I'm not sold on Brown

- Chambers drops too many balls

- Booker is sooo 4 seasons ago

- They have nothing at TE

obviously, the Titans have some serious deficiencies going into this season. that being said, how will this affect Vince Young's ability to perform this season? A lot of sites have him ranked up there with the likes of Kitna and ahead of players like Hasselbeck.

Most people tend to believe that Young is ranked a little too high on the QB board and will allow him to fall a bit accordingly. But given the lack of talent on the Titans, how far should Young fall? I'm tending to think that he should fall a lot. Afterall, he can't do it alone.

I think factoring in TE, the Raiders and Dolphins give Tennessee a run for their money. Particularly with Brown re-signing today.
