do you "dress your age"?

I dress comfortably. I am typically in shorts unless I am at work. I hate wearing a suit or a tie or anything approaching semi formal. I wear hoodies all the time. I voted "no" because I don't really dress my age but then again I still don't feel like an adult yet even though I am over 50.

I pay more attention to the materials and fit in the tshirts, sweatpants, and hoodies I buy now. I need to be comfortable for work. When I was younger I had to leave the house.

I know I don’t. I am 55 and I have been retired for almost two years. My wardrobe is primarily cargo shorts and t-shirts that may or may not have Pokémon on it.

The notable thing is I live in Colorado and this winter so far has been extremely brutal and snowy so I actually had to go buy another pair of sweats (I had one) to shovel in.

what are sweatpants considered? I never see teens in jeans only sweats.

Really noticed that this past week on vacation. The entire young male generation all wear fitted sweat pants. I actually don't own a pair of wear pants. Fitted? Ha ha

Pretty much all I wear are suits, golf attire (worn out as well), and gym attire. The golf attire is generally compromised of "popular" and "good" brands that can be worn on and off the course. The gym attire is pretty basic stuff and lots of t shirts with something sports on it (shirts I've won at tournaments, sports teams, golf brand shirts). I do not own any attire with a player's name on it.

I assume this means I dress my demographic as pretty much all I do is work, play golf, and go to the gym.

I voted yes.

I cut out almost all the graphic tees. Rarely wear anything sports related unless it’s around the house.

When I am retired, I’m going to dress like a wizard and visit friends via horseback. I am not kidding.

59 here, and I answered no.

I wear short and hoodies to work (at least for another year, but I digress).

I wear shorts 95% of the year (with quarter zip and/or Columbia outdoors shirts).

I wear Adidas joggers and hoodies to walk the dogs if it is cool out.

Dressing up in a old pair of jeans, a nice button down, and some decent loafers.

And 99% of the time some type of baseball hat.

I'll go with no with a caveat. Had a courier show up the other day and I walked out to greet him wearing shorts, long socks, and slippers.

I almost bought some New Balance shoes though. ;)

51. Outside of work/church, I will be wearing basketball shorts. In winter I wear a hoodie (preferably with handwarmer pockets) and the rest of the year a t-shirt of some sort. And a ballcap because my hair is starting to desert me.

Well, I just saw that we dress pretty much alike :)

Kind of a loaded question, IMO. I've hit an age that I feel like I can do just about whatever I want. So, in that regard, sure I dress my age.

Jeans and Waffle shirts or a flannel shirt if going somewhere decent in the winter.
If I’m feeling special I might put on a polo in the summer but usually plain fitted t shirts and shorts if going out to a casual dinner.

9 months out of the year I’m wearing chacos full time unless running.

I went clothes shopping for the first time in... Jeebus... A looong time. Fashion designer Wife responded to everything I bought- that's for younger men... You need to find more "age-appropriate" stuff.

I hate her with the fury of a thousand Furley-wives.
thankfully i dress myself, without judgment from the missus

so when you see me in pictures/public and i look terrible... that's all me, baby

For you basket ball short wearers, are you talking the silky baggy knee length actual basket ball shorts? The ones that will hug and show your junk to the world if wing or you sit down?

I never wore sweatpants (outside of being active in a sport or workout) until Covid hit and I started working from home. They are just more comfortable than jeans or other type pants for sitting around the house. I don't really wear them outside, except for when I walk my dog.

Typically dress younger than I am (62). Going out it's typically nice jeans, nice Robert Graham shirt, Cole Haan leather sneakers. I'm not the cargo shorts, white tube socks in sandals guy, nor am I wearing extra wide New Balance white tennis shoes. But not walking around with my hat on backwards either.

I'm Italian and not from New Jersey so of course I dress well. Probably about 15 years younger than "my age"

Work
jeans
sweater or quarter zip in the colder months, polos in the warmer months. Sketchers

Non-Work
Jeans or cargo shorts in warmer months
T-shirts (sports, bands or world’s greatest dad), zip up hoodies in colder weather (Tigers, Lions, Wolverines, Tool)
Sketchers - (the same ones) or Crocs

Note: I will dress in work attire if I’m going to a nice restaurant or some

Home
Gym shorts or pajama pants
T-Shirts
crocs for yard work

Is this like 50 year olds shouldn't be wearing pajama pants and hoodies out in public or 50 year olds shoud be wearing dockers, golf shirts tucked in and penny loafers?

I honestly have zero clue what dressing for my age would entail. I'm definitely not on the fashion forward front, but there's zero chance I'm going to wear khakis with giant white New balances either. Although I guess that's in style now, I have no idea. I probably still dressed like I'm finishing up baseball practice and wearing comfortable clothes
