Do you guys like P!nk? (1 Viewer)

She is going to have to alter her style a bit to stay on top.

She'll be 35 this year and her primary MO is still to cater to disenfranchised teenage girls.

Seriously, if Pink comes on the radio and you're like "hey turn that up" just gently steer the car into the oncoming traffic. Trust me on that.
Andy, TinkerBell, NCC thoughts?
"She has one heck of a voice. She also writes a lot of her own stuff IIRC. In general her music isn't my thing but I can respect her talent. And her apparent dislike for Kanye gets her some points as well."

Even I gave her points for that.

Have you listened to any of her latest album?
The one with the lead single Blow Me (One Last Kiss)?

That's a clever title if you are like 15

I like her attitude (she seems like she'd be fun to get drunk with), I think she is very hot, and I like most of her music (my girls like it so I've gotten to where I'm a fan).

She is multi talented. I even liked her in a movie I saw the other day.

I'm more impress with her serk du solay acrobat stuff than her singing. But she ain't a bad singer.

I'm not an uberfan but I don't know much of her music except "Try." However, two contestants on The Voice did one of her songs (which I'd never heard before) a couple of episodes ago and I dug it.

Not a huge fan, but agree she has some catchy songs (I actually like the duet with the guy from F.U.N.). My wife is a big fan so I took her to the latest tour. I have to admit, she does put on a very good live show. The acrobatics she does is worthy of Cirque du Soleil.

Was it the one about addictions? Great flick and she was excellent!

Yeah, Thanks for Sharing I think? Movie was quite depressing, but she was great.

Get The Party Started is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Otherwise, absolutely not. Least favorite of the Britney, Christina, Pink trio.

Not exactly pitchfork around here.

If this place ever becomes as pretentiously stupid as Pitchfork, it'll be a sad day. Pitchfork can't get out of its own way when it comes to music criticism.

And I think the dedicated music threads here are pretty good.
This board is plenty pretentious about lots of things, music just isn't one of them.
I don't know; I've looked at some of the old drafts, seen some of the recommendations. They're pretty spot-on, pretty interesting. It would be like a good college radio station without the pretense. It seems that there's good taste among those with an affinity for it.

Don't get us started on jerky.

My sentiment as well after going to see her show with my wife.

Fair enough, I wasn't trying to say whether that was a good or bad thing really. Just an observation.

However, the college radio station I worked for was about as pretentious as you could get. We could not play any songs by a band if they had ever had a top 40 album or single.

There is a nice enjoyable middle ground that has elements of taste without overt pretentiousness. We don't need to be pitchfork but also should aim a little higher than Tiger Beat Magazine.

Taste is pretty subjective. And really just because you were in Tiger Beat it doesn't mean you aren't talented. It just means little girls will make their moms spend money. For example the Righteous Brothers were once on the cover of Tiger Beat. Is it bad taste to like their music?

And one should keep in mind what the Beatles were like in 1964.

Not to mention that Jagger was on the cover more than once.
