Mine took a while to decide what I wanted. When I finally did, I thought it was brilliant. It was about 12 years ago and Calvin and Hobbes was just starting to become popular. Well, the character of Calvin is based loosely off of John Calvin (and yes, I know he's a Christian dude), but he believed that some people were just predestined for greatness. No matter what road they chose in life, no matter which decision they made, it was all exactly the road map God set out to greatness for them. So, in essence, you could drink as much as you want, live life like an idiot, and do nothing to make yourself a better person. But some how, you would still end up falling into greatness by "luck" or pure coincidence. Now, keep in mind, I'm no Christian scholar, so I may be off on the exact interpretation, but to me, that was great.
So my tattoo is a picture of Calvin, but he's scratching his head as if he's doubting the one thing he believes in. Kind of summed me up to a tee.
Anyway, about 5 years later, Calvin started showing up on everything, pissing on this or pissing on that. And while I still love my tattoo, when people see it, they usually say, "Hey, isn't that the little guy he pisses on things?"
