I mean, some guys seem to have a spam trade generator, offering multiple garbage players for your WR2 or RB3, like we can start all cumulative players.

ours sends spam trade offers like a SOB and also ends up pulling off more trades than anyone else. He either wears them out or the bad faith opening offer kicks off the start of negotiations.

3 or 4 years ago, when Priest Holmes was head and shoulders the #1RB and overall pick, I had a guy offer me Hines Ward for him. This was when Ward was, at best, the #6 or 8 WR.

I posted this in one of my leagues -I think I got it from a BLOG.

"I'm sure that several of you..as with myself...have been approached by %$#$#% with possible trade scenarios. I would like to share some of the more memorable proposals with you all.....

1. me: send him $100...%$#^ sends me change from this a.m.'s coffee and a signed picture of him drinking the last sip

2. me: give him the keys to my car.....%$#$#% gives me BOTH his matchbox car and star wars action figure collection that is deemed to be in 'reasonable' condition

3. me: two plane tickes (round trip) to Australia....%$#$#% gives me the 6 DVD collection of crocodile hunter and a kangaroo skin hat.

anyone have others to share???"

one round later in the draft, he drops Givens, and picks up some nobody unproven WR.

I dont mind stupid trade offers, its not that hard to hit the reject button, and they sometimes lead to legitimate trade negeotiations. Anything that gets trades going in a lead is a good thing. I realize there are some trades that are ridiculous, but it is just as bad when you make a legitimate offer and someone acts as if it is ridiculous and insulting. Most owners WAY overvalue there own players, so many of the so called "ridiculous" trade offers are actually not ... they may be a little low but you have to leave some room for negeotiations.

I like to pick an offer apart in detail and counter something similar or closer to something I would take and why.

It can start a discussion of which players we differ on and result in that type of trade.

Team needs and available players can come out of it too.

The unsubscibe player usually goes away because he is looking for the ripoff, not win win.
