Interesting that Biden’s approval ratings are drastically different than this poll.

Dont come to the Politics forum if you are looking for liberal/Democrat objectivity,
1. it's not an approval rating poll

2.  it was started almost a year ago.

Using that logic, every child born in the US increases drugs and murders at a higher rate than illegal immigrants.  Where’s the conservative propaganda demonizing US born babies for their contribution to increased murders and drugs?  It doesn’t exist, because they would be silly.

Argue that illegal immigration disincentives people migrating by the rules. Or that illegal immigration has lots of negative ramifications for our economy.  But let’s stop with nonsense about immigrants being violent drug dealing thugs.  That stuff is there to scare old white people.  It’s racist and wrong.
I guess we'll just agree to disagree. You're back to calling it racist again without demonstrating how, so I think we've come full circle. Cheers.

This pole is different.   The other  Biden pole is lower.  Not as bad as he is doing nationally but lower than 50% for this forum and that is suprising.  So even Biden voters are not real pleased.

I think some will try to spin that as people in here are 100% Biden lovers, and reinforce the "extreme left board" stuff.   IMO that points to a more nuanced position I see in these threads.  ie compared to the general population,  I don't think as many in here jump right to inflation = Biden.   So I could see people in here not dinging Biden quite as much on things as the masses might.

I think myself and many here voted against Trump and not for Biden.  So they are happy Trump did not win but not so happy with Biden.

Even Hillarys former advisor Peter Daou thought Biden was a terrible canidate but he could win.  that is all that really matters.

Been happening for a while.  Also ignoring the comments in the thread and just taking results of an anonymous poll.  A good example was the Trump vs a recession poll.  Then comments showed a ton of nuance…the results got played up as the board leftoes prefer a recession

Don't regret voting for him but do feel he can do a better job in a few areas (student loan relief and social security reform, for example).

Exactly.   This was me as well.   So I would think it would be predictable that this poll would have a higher % of positive votes vs. the Biden approval question.

Being thankful I don't have wanna-be -Putin (minus a shred of shrewdness) as the leader of my country is very, very... very, , very, very different from thinking that the only alternative presented to me is doing a masterful job or is supremely qualified.

Biden is basically everything Trump was and I don't regret not voting for him at all.  The kids are still in cages, it's just been memoryholed now that Dems control everything.  He's trying to extradite a publisher and sentence them to 175 years in prison for exposing US war crimes which is the most radically authoritarian thing I've ever seen in my life- just like TRUMP- and comports with his long career in politics.

But it has been nice seeing the occasional person that fell for the 2020 'Biden is a decent person' scam realize they were lied to and Dems will change nothing (other than blaming everything on Joe Manchin and the "Senate Parliamentarian," whatever that is).  Need more people checking out from this bogus system, not reinforcing it every 2/4 years, and it seems Biden is as good as anyone at killing people's faith in electoral politics.

But hey.....no more mean tweets.

It was so embarrassing, having a president that made hysterical (but mean) tweets.  It is way less embarrassing voting for a senile old man that supported the Iraq War and segregation.  Now me and my friends enjoy brunch in peace.

I tend to agree with a lot of what you say, but are you saying being racist is much more palatable than mean tweets?

Direct Headline: Fentanyl seizures at U.S. southern border rise dramatically

“For the first time, we’re starting to see these tactics where fentanyl is being smuggled between ports of entry,” Chief Border Patrol Agent Gloria Chavez said in an interview. “Cartels are very creative. They find ways to intimidate migrants and find ways to illegally have them transport that narcotic into the United States.”

Direct Headline:Border agents arrest more criminals, see spike in meth and pot seizures as cartels exploit migrant surge

The Border Patrol has detained a total of 5,018 criminal immigrants since Oct. 1, 2020, compared to 2,469 in fiscal year 2020. That’s on pace to overtake the 8,531 arrests of criminal immigrants made in all fiscal year 2017...Among these were 265 sex offenders, 576 individuals convicted of assault, battery and domestic violence and 982 drug offenders. The bulk of the arrests (2,765), though, involved illegal entry or illegal re-entry after a previous deportation.

Can we fast forward to the part where you accuse someone of saying "all" when he is clearly not saying all, but cheap dirty logical fallacy bombing on your part will try to sell that as fact when it's just not the case.

Then can we fast forward to the part where you start shouting that "Since you can't blame everyone, then you can blame no one" because you didn't do the leg work, again, to understand the depth of the underlying issue in place.

Your MO is pretty established at this point. Accuse someone else of a sweeping generalization by way of your own sweeping generalization while not sourcing the facts on the issue and backdoor calling people around you liars to see how far you can push the line on being a forum veteran and get away with it.

Yes, drug dealers are coming across the border. Yes, career criminals are coming across the border, including cartel members and murderers, along with rapists, child molesters, gun runners, grifters, thieves, and all assorted manner of deviants who will threaten the safety of those living at the Southern Border. Is it each and every person crossing over? No, but then again no one is actually saying that. But those that fit into that category are still a massive problem for civil order in those states.

If you are going to fabricate outrage, then do a better job of selling that. If you are going to do something, do it right. It's not everyone else's fault you can't sell what you are saying, not even in the slightest.
I noticed this guy accusing me of racism has ignored both of Gordon's well thought out and detailed posts.

So this is one of those boards?  People just go around name calling without a shred of coherency behind it. Very nice.

This.  I couldn't vote for Trump in either election because I believe he has zero integrity and no moral compass.  He is a vile person and didn't deserve to be President.  I have a very similar opinion of Hillary and couldn't vote for her in 2016, so I voted for Johnson.  I then held my nose and voted for Biden in 2020 simply as an anti-Trump vote.  I don't like Biden, I don't like his policies and I think he will be a below average President, but at least he won't be a horrible and dangerous President.

Sadly, I think Trump was a better strategist in foreign policy and global economics but I wouldn't trust him with $100 of my own money.

More like $70 now pro-rated for inflation under Biden.
