Do You Think Detroit Will Con Cleveland Out Of Another 2nd Rounder? (2 Viewers)

A few years ago the Lions said that they really wanted (Kellen Winslow Jr. TE MIA) knowing that the Browns really wanted him. Cleveland then made the trade with Detroit to move up ONE spot to get him while the Lions picked the guy they really wanted anyway (Roy Williams WR TEX), and they picked up a second rounder to go along with it.

How likely do you think it is that it will happen again??? Joe Thomas LT Wisconsin. The Lions need to fill a lot of holes in order to have a chance at being competitive next season. They could fill a major hole with the #3 overall spot and have a good shot at getting a couple of starters with two second round picks.

What do you think?

They'll move down farther. CLE has more holes than the Lions (never thought i'd say that). CLE needs Thomas, Quinn or AD and would be happy to get either three.

There is a new front office calling the shots in Cleveland from when that trade was made. Cleveland needs more top talent on the line of scrimmage, not a QB or RB.

If the Browns want to take Brady Quinn, then they better get someone like LT Joe Staley later on.

No chance in hell.

Cleveland will happily take one of Joe Thomas, AD, Calvin Johnson or the QBs.

#3 is a goldmine draft slot. They can't miss.

Edit: if anything they'll be trading down with a team like Arizona (who may covet Thomas) and the Browns will STILL be able to get one of their top five (nevermind a guy like Alan Branch to anchor their DL, perhaps in another trade down).

Famous last words.

No way this happens. The Browns have too many holes. Phil Savage would be run out of Cleveland if he did that.

Please tell me that Lions fans don't actually think this is going to happen.

didn't the browns move down one spot last season to let baltimore trade up to get...i forget, but a DT? and then the browns took wimbley?

I wouldn't be surprised to see both of these teams trade down. Or at least try to. Oakland probably should too but I don't expect that.

Someone will move up for Johnson (probably Tampa but could be Minnesota). And Arizona probably should move up for Thomas but Bidwell likely won't want to spend the $.

Redskins will also probably be trying to trade down to get some extra picks.

Oakland's been playing the same game with TB, but moving up that high is too costly. They won't fall for it.

Joe Thomas or Adrian Peterson

as a big browns fan i would be happy with either at the three spot, and so should Savage
