I am a little surprised you said in your blog you won't play week 17 , and that saddens me a bit because I love your blog.

If I have to be honest it almost seems like you want to quit NFL while you are ahead to avoid losing $$ and the risk of not being able to put up the big profits you have on the cover the daily fantasy book you are working on.

With all due respect didn't Ted Williams risk losing his 400 BA instead of sitting it out ? Don't sit it out, please

Either way though, thank you for your blog, I used it personally to win money this year on fanduel, and im sure im not the only one.

Week 17 is far too unpredictable.

I think he made over $40 grand in a few months so why not quit while ahead?

Disagree here, I will be playing fanduel this week and I expect to make a lot of $$. Also, As far as "quitting while ahead," it is still quitting, something Ted Williams didn't do when he had a lot more to lose than Dodds (400 BA AVG) vs (hey kids, buy my book, i made 40g on fanduel this year)

Let me just be clear here too, Dodds is amazing with his football knowledge, this isn't meant as disrespect so if he takes it that way(which I don't think he will) I apologize in advance

I am enjoying the holidays spent with my daughter in town and my fiance's son is back from college as well. I hate week 17 a lot. Because the early games can instantly change whether an afternoon team even tries (ie the Chargers this week). So many teams that are out of the playoff hunt may try all kinds of new things too. So instead of a full slate of games, you find yourself choosing just between a few of them

I am not saying it can't be beat. In fact it might be easier to beat than normal by just locking down on Manning or Foles and putting together a value lineup because so many stars will be sitting.

The beauty of the daily games is when you don't have the time to enter and play a bunch of rosters, you are not committed to playing.

However, Dodds did say he was going get his entire bankroll in play "at the end of the year" (I'm not sure if he specified week 17 or not). So it is a little disappointing that he isn't going to follow through on that statement.

I just would have liked to have see him dominate week 1 until the end of the NFL season just because I know he can do it, and it would have been interesting getting his thoughts on making LUs for NFL games week 17 or making LUs for NFL playoff games.
