Does Aaron Rodgers have the most team-friendly contract in the NFL? (1 Viewer)

Six year, 66 million dollar contract. He's under contract for four more years and he won't make over 10 million dollars in any of those seasons. Compare that to the contracts of Brady, Peyton (who will get a huge deal), Rivers, Roeth, Eli etc. and the argument can be made that Rodgers is better than all of them.

Are there any other examples of a player at or near the top of his position in the NFL making so much less money than his peers?

His will get restructured, there was already talk about them giving him and extension and raise to put him on par with a top 5 QB salary if he won the Superbowl.

Through this year, Brady was playing mostly for peanuts. He got a $3.5 million salary and a $3 million bonus at the start of the season. If you want to factor in an equal portion of his signing bonus from when he signed his last deal, that would be another $2.4 million. So he got $6.5 million in actual dollars this year (and produced an MVP season) and if there were a salary cap, his cap number would have been $8.9 million.

ETA: I double checked and apparently Brady got some additional monies added to this year when he signed his extension. I believe he got an extra $4 million for the 2010 season, bringing his total to $10.5 million paid out this year. Still pretty cheap by comparison to some other QBs.
