Does anyone else like how David Wilson... (1 Viewer)

Oh yeah. And he is strong in between the tackles so they can't really play defense for only a homerun ala Jahvid Best.

Exactly, his burst (acceleration) is the closest to what Jahvid Best had, imo.http://www.nfl.com/player/davidwilson/2533035/profileOn that play, he is in the endzone (15 yards downfield) before the defenders are even getting off their blocks. Ridiculous.http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap2000000108514/David-Wilson-52-yard-touchdown-runEffortlessly scampers 52 yards for a touchdown, simply runs by the safety.

I love the guy's potential and own him in my dynasty league but let's be real..Those holes were ridiculous, I would think 80% of the starting RBs in the league would finish those runs in the endzone.

I'll be looking to get him next year. But with Bradshaw always in the picture and Brown as a TD vulture, his value may be minimal (is Brown an RFA?)

I like him a lot, but for next year your expectations should be a bye week filler at best, unless some major injuries happen, 2014 will be his year.

Yes, he is.Don't think he's going anywhere though.
And brought back it's a 3-headed monster. Wilson will have probably 5-6 games where he's fantasy relavent but good luck predicting those games. Bradshaw + TD Vulture Brown = bad news for Wilson IMO.

The clip from the Saints game proves little as the Saints were the 32nd ranked defense in 2012 giving up 6.5 yards/play, a full half yard worse than any other defense in the league.Wilson certainly has the speed to do a lot of damage in situations like that however and will likely improve from this season. This does look like a time share however and as long as there is not a HC change or major injury that likely continues through 2014. While I think Wilson has a lot of talent and could potentially be a RB1 in 2015 if he progresses, I am a bit worried about the situation if the Giants lose a lot of games again in 2014. A coaching change makes it more cloudly how good the opportunity will be if Wilson does become the feature back at that time.

I can see a Bradshaw - Jacobs timeshare. Think Wilson could be valuable as a RB3 next year.

Occasional kick return touchdowns? #### yeah.

:goodposting: Nice backflips and all but I'm glad I didn't buy into the preseason hype. He talented but he's not better than Brown or Bradshaw. I heard and CJ Spiller comparison on a podcast and I just turned it off

2015? This is the NFL. Things change pretty fast. To talk about what you think might happen NEXT year is hard enough. But 2014 and 2015, gimme a break.

Uh, why? You do realize what Spiller was thought of after his first 2 years in the league don't you?

He is actually a lot more talented than Brown and Bradshaw but he needs to learn pass blocking. This is almost identical to the Spiller situation, 2 backs in front of the rookie Jackson was older, but Bradshaw has the health problems. Lynch was younger but shipped out, Brown isn't as talented as Lynch but could be on the way out too. It took Spiller almost 2 full years and an injury to the lead back to get his chance. It looks like the same thing is going to happen to Wilson.

He's definitely fast but he won't have a huge, open hole on most plays. He was untouched on both of those runs. Show me some clips of him breaking tackles and re-accelerating to run away from guys like AP and I'll be convinced.

Go watch some of his college tape and you'll see some of that. I thought he was one of the toughest guys to tackle in all of college football last year. He doesn't shy away from contact either.

The Chachinator finds it amusing anyone would say Wilson is more talented than Bradshaw.

Hey for the most part I totally agree with you. It is hard enough predicting what might happen tomorrow much less next year or years after that. Which is why I do not really try to predict beyond 3 years from today in dynasty. However I do think a regime change may be on the horizion if the Giants do not have a very good season in 2013. Right now the Giants have a somewhat predictable modus operandi, but those patterns could change if the Giants record goes south next season(with more favorable schedule) and/or the HC retires/gets canned.

The Chazzhawk finds it amusing anyone would actually call themselves the Chachinator.
