Does BFD purposely try to dumb us down? (1 Viewer)

So, I listened to the BFD podcast a month ago because Dodds was a guest and wasn't feeling it. Bad production, people purposely debating a losing argument to what I assume be outside the box. Today I listened to another episode to give it another shot and it litteraly made me angry.

Aside from the replacement host (main host was on vacation) saying UMMM, every 10 words and pausing mid sentence to breath through his mouth everything was simply irresponsible. Here are some hilights of what I can only assume they are trying to feed us bad strategies.

This was my favorite when talking about draft strategies. The person who the host claimed to be the greatest fantasy player on the planet advises to when setting strategy "try taking bad teams and cross them off your list. It makes your sheet a lot easier to look at". He names the 49ers as an example.

2)Host asks same guy who he targets at TE and what is your draft strategy when it comes to TE's? He answers "what do you want my social security number? (Group laugh) I let everyone else beat eachother up for the top 5 TE's and then I tend to draft 3 in a row in say rounds 7,8 and 9 and hope one cashes out. (The other guys seemed afraid to question it)

3) When asked who he would choose between Ingram, Mattews, and Hillis, one of them goes on a rant about "Ingram has no measurables. I don't have the numbers in front of me but he's just slow and has no wiggle". Then says Hillis is the number one guy. I'm pretty sure Hillis is just as fast.... or slow.

4)Host goes on a tirade about people choosing guys like Steven Jackson, Frank Gore and Michael Turner over Best. His defense is that those guys have not played a full season in 4 years (which is incorrect). He follows it by saying he understands Best has not been healthy since his freshamn year. The other guys ask him where he would draft Jackson, Gore and Turner. His response. "NOPE". They make sure he understands and says, " so you wouldn't draft them?". Answer :NOPE. (group laugh). No analysis given.

5)When discussing Chris Johnson, one of them says the only way they consider drafting him is in the second round of a dynasty draft. (They then go on to publicly make fun of a message board member on their site that says Johnson is "a top 5 pick all day").

I can only come to the conclusion that they are purposely giving us bad information to be attention seekers or in the case of the guy that they call the greatest fantasy player on earth's case he is purposely feeding crap to throw his opponents off his scent.

I do not know BFD either but some of the things the OP bashes should not be bashed IMHO.

I have heard the "cross bad teams theory" bantered around both here at FBG and other prominent sites.

Gore has not played 16 games in four years and Jackson has only done it once. Turner is the only exception.

Why not pass on the top 5 TE then grab a couple and hope one or more pan out. Worse strategies have worked.

I guess I just do not get the hate here..............
