We are through 21 of 28 rounds, so the meat and potatoes of my team is set. I'm doing this because I want to see how I've done thus far and also to ask advice on what I should target in these last 9 rounds to help out my weak spots. I'm learning a lot by doing this draft and also realizing there is a lot more that goes into fantasy baseball than fantasy football.

Thanks in advance guys.

I think you waited a tad too long to get a catcher. I don't love your 3B situation or your OF. Your pitching could be really solid if you get another decent closer.

closers? Think Heath bell, capps...
I have Soria and Street thus far. Bell and Capps are long gone.
Manny Corpas as a Street handcuff. Jason Motte may be worth a flyer if he's available. It's not a bad team. I'd like to have more power in the OF slots but there's not a lot you can do about that now.
Yeah, looking back, maybe I go OF where I took Santana, but all of the big boppers were gone at that point. Also, I got Santana as the 2nd SP off the board (Lincecum) and then a string a SP went before my next pick (CC, Hamels, Webb, Halladay, Haren, Oswalt).I'm pretty high on Markakis. I'm also hoping my IF power makes up for my OF. :lmao:

Yeah, about that....I got sniped 3 separate times on taking a catcher. I'd have 2 guys I'd want and they'd get taken right before my pick. Instead of reaching, I said "I'll take one from my next tier at my next pick". Then boom, it'd happen again.I do feel C is a weakness at the moment, but I really like Snyder's potential. To get a C that has 20 HR potential and had a near .350 OBP last year in the 19th, I thought was pretty good.ETA: I had Encarnacion in my sights where I took Beltre, but he was taken 3 spots before my pick. I just hope Beltre has another "contract year" like he did before he signed with Seattle. *sigh*

I think your team is pretty typical. You clearly did ok early getting a few big hitters, and then filled out your roster with a combo of steady performers and guys where you like the upside (such as Reynolds/Snyder). Thats pretty much the makeup of a regular's fantasy team IMO.
