Heard on ESPN that two teams this bad have not played this late in a season in 23 years, combined winning pct. of .182.

Not a lot of players from these teams on many fantasy teams in the Super Bowl or any teams at all for that matter. Not the most popular teams and not good teams. This will be the first Thursday night game I will not be watching since Thursday games have started. Not for any reason then I dont want to, anyone else feel this way tonight.

Go deeper should they do away with Thursday games completely? Polls are up.

Take it a step further, if you dont watch tonight that will show up on ratings and the league will take notice. Because face it, that matters.

My opponent is starting Walker and Sankey, so yeah I'll be watching this stinkfest. :X

The Thursday games are generally terrible, but damned if I don't look forward to it every Thursday afternoon as the time winds down on my workday.

Agreed. Although, being done with FF it's significantly less.

The only ones who don't want to get rid of TNF are the owners, league and television partners ....

Which means it is here to stay .. However I do think the scheduling next year (or shortly thereafter) will have teams who play on Thursdays have a bye the week before so you don't have players bodies subjected to playing two games in five days

I, literally, have not watched a second of any Thursday Night game this year. Many times I forget it's even on. Can't see that changing with this game.

From a fantasy perspective, I'd much rather have all the games on Sunday, with a kicker on Monday night. The intensity of fantasy on Sunday is why fantasy football is better than any other fantasy sport, and on Monday night every play can be the one that wins or loses you your game. On Thursday the scoring is nice but it's not a big part of your fantasy week.

The only thing that would have made me more excited for this game is if Locker were playing... But I guess I'll settle for some Chad Henne action if Bortles doesn't play

Congrats on your championship!

And I agree. As much as Thursday sucks for fantasy decisions and the teams preparation for the game, I do enjoy watching football. The more I get to watch the better. More people will watch this game now than they would if they were playing on a Sunday.

If people are actually looking forward to tonight's NFL game, I think maybe it's time to take a little life priority inventory. Just sayin.

Should be a good lesson for the NFL on what their ratings would would look like if a bunch of nerds hadn't invented a side-game to make it more watchable.

If more than a couple hundred people in the country watch I'll be stunned. You can't really tell me you'll waste 4 hours of your life for a high school level game.

We're watching because my wife advised Bryan Anger when he was a student at Cal. That's right; I'm watching an NFL game for the punter. Oh, and the fullback, Will Ta'ufo'ou. Brilliant Cal moment this in Jacksonville this week; a fake punt resulted in a completed pass from Anger to Ta'ufo'ou for a first down. Go Bears!

I may turn it on just to see how empty the stadium is. I do have an interest in just how much fantasy sports and gambling MAkes the NFL and not the other way around.

My guess is, if people suddenly lost interest in FF and Dailies, Marc Cuban would be dead right.

My opponent in the championship has Nate Washington in his lineup and OBJ on the bench right now. If he keeps it like that I guess I'll watch but I don't think anyone can be that dumb. I thought about playing Gerhart but I can't do it.

He's cat fishing you, man.

I watch as much of the NFL as possible, we get 17 weeks of this and I am going to enjoy it. I may not watch every second of a stinker like this but if it's close I'm sure I will watch most of it. I certainly don't let FF dictate whether or not I watch football. I loved the NFL long before I am became addicted to FF.

I have to agree and dont think its even a debate. Football has been popular but since fantasy sports it has exploded. The players can act like fantasy doesnt matter, but without fantasy you have much fewer hardcore fans.

So in other words to the players who say they "dont care about our teams," truth is, they better start caring.

Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers better care if they hand off at the one instead of passing.

I personally dislike TNF. I don't get the break I used to during the week and football has become 24/7 during the season. I have cut my leagues down because of it.

I don't mind having an occasional Thursday game, but every week is a bit much. Maybe one Thursday game a month. Generally the matchups end up being terrible, at least one team plays awful, and you can see the quality of product is diminished by lack of enough time to fully prepare.

I still watch most every week, but it's mostly because of fantasy that I do. If I have no one (or my opponent has no one) playing in the game and it's two teams I'm not interested in, I'm not watching just because it's on.

Kind of wondering something:

For married/family guys -- are the Thursday night games just harder to get to? Harder to make them "must see" event TV?

I'm sure different guys have different experiences ... but it just seems to me that Thursday night games are made for college guys, single-20-somethings, bachelors/divorcees, and so on.

Personally, my wife and I are retired and we are hardcore football fans. If my wife will sit and watch a Tuesday night MAC game.....well, enough said.

I watch the college game when those are on - have no desire to watch the NFL on a Thursday unless it's my team (falcons) or Thanksgiving.

The NFL's crappy product has caused me to lose interest to the point of quitting fantasy football, only watching the occasional game besides my favorite team and not even tuning in to the combine/draft. So many commercials to increase revenue, rule changes to increase scoring and game changing flags being thrown for playing good football have turned what used to be my favorite sport into the best way to fall asleep on Sunday afternoon.

Thursday night games are the scraps that the networks don't even want to bid on for their broadcasts, and the NFL knows that they can still get ratings from this crap because so many hardcore fans can't turn away. I didn't care for them before I lost interest.

Grabbed TEN D and Gerhart since my team is garbage and need to swing for the fences in this particular matchup. So yeah I'll have it on in my office as we get the kids fed and ready for bed.

In the promo for the game, the teaser was "watch Blake Bortles and the Jags vs. .... wait for it, the Titans. There's not recognizable name on the Titans.

CBS is not a network?

the only reason i watch this crappy product is due to fantasy football. If not for that i wouldnt watch football.

I don't like it. I don't like it for fantasy or for real. I don't want to have to be involved with my teams or the NFL in any extra way during the middle of the week and I think it really takes teams out of their normal schedule in a way that absolutely helps and hurts some teams. I don't mind Monday night football, or Saturday night football, or early Sunday morning football. But I don't think there should be any games between Tuesday and Friday.

Turned it on at the end of the game and Nantz was talking about a $600k sack bonus. Must have been a real barn burner.
