Yes it is. A shell of it's former self.Chiefs O-Line is horrible
Out. Shoulder. Should be ready for week one.Charles getting little to no action once again. Is he hurt and I missed it?
Yep, I'm avoiding all KC players like the plague...worst QB situation in the league. With Brodie Croyle KC may not win but one game. That is not a joke either. The guy is horrible. Damon Huard is no All-Pro but he would make the team halfway respectable, i.e. 7-9.This is going to be the most brutal season for KC fans....maybe in franchise history.

Rubbish. They wouldn't sniff seven wins with Huard under center. With Brodie Croyle KC may not win but one game. That is not a joke either. The guy is horrible. Damon Huard is no All-Pro but he would make the team halfway respectable, i.e. 7-9.
Not even close. The W-L results may not be pretty, but they weren't last year, and that was with playing a bunch of scrub veterans. A top-three draft pick while guys like Dorsey, Albert, and Flowers -- two of which looked very good in this game, the third not even suiting up -- all gain experience will be twice as worthwhile as last season.Icing on the cake? Herm and Carl get a big fat boot in the ### and KC gets a complete overhaul, from management to coaching to the QB (Stafford?). With some solid pieces in place, they could then build a legitimate team. This is going to be the most brutal season for KC fans....maybe in franchise history.
It is obvious we are both KC homers.....I just think that I am more jaded. I know that the Chiefs have been a cyclical franchise....inception-'82 very good, '73-'89 almost all under .500, 89-98 always a contender, and now we have gone thru almost 10 years of sheer mediocrity w/2003 being the exception. I have a feeling we are in for several more years of sub-.500 ball for the Chiefs.I could be wrong and last year was simply the bottom of the barrel. However, with Croyle under center, I think the barrel springs a leak.Contrary to what you may have seen, I saw Dorsey getting blown off the ball and Flowers missing several tackles. I know they are rookies, but the early returns are not good with guys like Albert, Kevin Robinson, Barry Richardson.I hope I am wrong and we get pointed in the right direction, which to me, means better than 6-10. But with Croyle at the helm, that will not happen.Rubbish. They wouldn't sniff seven wins with Huard under center. With Brodie Croyle KC may not win but one game. That is not a joke either. Herman Edwards is making the offensive talent evaluation.Croyle is barely good enough to be a 3rd string QB. I don't get how he is handed the starting job when he has showed absolutely nothing thus far.
Ricky Williams averaged less than four yards per carry, and it would've been under three if not for a carry bounced to the outside where he beat a DB for a few extra yards. Speaking of bouncing it outside, he had to do that because the inside was always clogged up by Mr. Dorsey. The few times Ricky, or his teammate, tried to go inside, and the only times we can look at the gamelog for evidence, we see:-34-R.Williams right guard to KC 1 for 1 yard (72-G.Dorsey).34-R.Williams up the middle to MIA 39 for -1 yards (72-G.Dorsey).38-P.Cobbs right tackle to MIA 3 for 1 yard (72-G.Dorsey).That's defensive success. I don't think you saw very clearly.Contrary to what you may have seen, I saw Dorsey getting blown off the ball
You're judging a guy like Branden Albert in August when he hasn't even played a snap in a preseason game. All training camp he was flawless and reports are that he was great. Two sixth-round picks as your evidence for a lack of "early returns?" When one is injured (hasn't seen a snapp all preseason) and the other is actually coming along nicely (did you really watch the game?)? Let me guess, you wanted the Chiefs to pass on Dorsey for someone like Ryan Clady, for them to go out and overpay for some mediocre free agents, and Damon Huard to be the starting QB?Carl Peterson loves you.I know they are rookies, but the early returns are not good with guys like Albert, Kevin Robinson, Barry Richardson.
