The Palm Beach Post reports the Dolphins have released WR Derek Hagan. The 2006 third-rounder has gained a reputation for shaky hands and questionable commitment. Hagan had fallen behind Brandon London and Davone Bess and was rarely active on game days this season. He may catch on with a team in need of receiving help, but the bloom is definitely off the rose. Sometimes, I'm glad that I don't wind up drafting people I have listed as "sleepers". Strange, though, I always thought his reputation was great hands and athleticism. I'm starting to get the opinion that hands are in the eye of the beholder, so to speak.

Pretty surprised this guy did amount to something. At least a serviceable WR. I saw a lot of him in college, and was glad they drafted him. Maybe he catches on somewhere else.

I too thought he could be really good from what I saw of him at ASU. Hopefully a fresh start will be what he needs. If I was Seattle, I'd be dialing his phone.
