ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) ― CBS4 has learned that the Denver Broncos have traded Domonique Foxworth to the Atlanta Falcons.

The Broncos will receive a 7th round draft pick for the 4th year defensive back.

Foxworth is in the final year of his current contract and if he were to resign with Atlanta after this season, the Broncos would also receive a 6th round draft pick.

Foxworth was chosen in the 3rd round of the 2005 NFL draft by the Broncos.

In his 3 years with Denver, he started 18 games.

Last season, he was primarily used as a "nickel back" in passing situations.

Foxworth has also been very involved in the Denver community.

He played an instrumental role in the development of the Darrent Williams Memorial Teen Center in northeast Denver.

Denver didn't get much for him.

I can attest to this. Foxworth is one of the class acts in the NFL that gets very little notoriety because he isn't a big star. I've been pulling for this kid ever since he left Baltimore for the University of Maryland.
