Don Banks' mock draft (1 Viewer)

Another analyst who doesnt seem to understand what cost Dallas games this year. Nickle corner. And another analyst who didn't take into account a team's drafting philosophy (Dallas is heavily biased against taking 1st roudn receivers).

Very disappointing for a guy who should be more on top of things.

I know it would be great if the Pats took the DB at 1.07, but if the Jets pass on Gholston, I'd really like to see the Pats take him.

The cowboys didn't lose many many games this year. In the biggest game they lost, they scored only 17 points and their wr's did little. The cowboys haven't won any playoff games in a long time, so it isn't like they have this great philosophy that they need stick do. Finally, under Jones' watch they drafted Alvin Harper in the first and two first rounders to get Joey Galloway, While I doubt they draft a wr, it is not outlandish to guess that they might.

i am not sure what to think. 3 rbs in the first and no mendenhall.

At least this one doesnt have SD taking a RB in the first. ILB would be great as would CB or Oline.

I like seeing the Broncos taking Clady at OT rather than the DL, DT, LB & S that have been projected in other mocks thus far.

IMHO Cutler is incredibly talented and could work wonders with solid protection.

He was absolutely massacred by the inability of his line to protect in the week 16 game against the Chargers, but looked brilliant in patches against other teams when he was given some time out there.

Well, lets see. Dallas was the #2 scoring team in the entire NFL this year. Second behind the record setting Patriots. The CB most targeted in the entire NFL this year was Dallas nickle CB Jacque Reeves. The NE game showed that Dallas was helpless to stop talented multi-receiver sets as the slot guys (namely Welker) went absolutely nuts. The NYG Playoff game, the 0:41 second drive before half time, showed the NYG's picking almost exclusively on Reeves. Eli stated that Reeves was the guy they wanted to throw on. They sure succeeded! That drive completely changed the momentum of the game.Alvin Harper was the last WR Dallas took in the first round. That was only SEVENTEEN years ago. The last offensive player that Dallas took in the first round was David LaFleur. That was only ELEVEN years ago. And Dallas did not take Galloway. It was a trade. Big difference. Both Jerry Jones and Wade Phillips have stated that taking WRs in the first is very high risk and that quality receivers can be found later. Both stated FA and trade are the means they'd like to fill the WR spot. The entire scouting staff has just come out of Tuna's reign. Someone else who is staunchly against 1st round WRs. So the entire organization is biased against taking 1st round WRs.[sarcasm on] Yeah, Banks was on target with who Dallas is likely to pick. [sarcasm off]

Derrick Harvey for Steelers?I don't agree..first time I've seen someone predicted something other than a OL for us .

Anything is possible, but I would be absolutely shocked if Dallas selected a WR in the 1st round.

32 Pick forfeited The Patriots lost this pick as their penalty for the Week 1 Spygate episode.
How awesome would it be for Roger Goodell to go up to the podium..."With the 32nd pick in the 2008 NFL draft, the Patriots can suck it"

Best post ever.
IT would be even better if at #7, Goodell stepped to the podium and annouced that due to an earlier oversight, the Pats would forfeit the higher of their 2 picks.
