Donald Driver - Will he play on Sunday? (1 Viewer)

Listed as questionable.

In a bind with DJax on a BYE and an curious to hear any info on him. This should be a good matchup for him this week too.

Has he practiced?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

This is an important question & I know we've got a ton of Packer Backers here. Come on guys, give us your inside homer knowledge.

Also what are ya'll hearing about the RB situation? Will it be Green or Morency this weekend?

Not a packer homer, but Driver finished out the game last week and I expect they are just being cautious with him.

Here is an update on his status:

Oct 4 Green Bay Packers WR Donald Driver (ribs, hip) missed practice Wednesday, Oct. 4 and is considered day-to-day. He is listed as questionable for the Week 5 game. He took part in some individual drills and will likely play in the game.

i suspect the samehe'll play, but i'd temper expectations a bit... those 8-9 rec days might be fewer and further between with the emergence of Jennings.... but that may increase his YPC and YAC as he might be seeing some 1 on 1 coverage for once

Farve still looks for Driver a lot. In fact, Driver had 12 looks, 2 in the redzone which he didn't convert. He took a big hit in that game so perhaps his focus was off, but his line could easily have been 100 yards and a TD.There's enough to go around between Jennings and Driver... Favre is going to have a lot of attempts and completions.

As a owner of both Driver and Jennings on the same team, Drivers questionable status and Jennings performance I am struggling with which one will be a better play.

They had equal targets last week Driver 11 Jennings 10.

Normaly I would go with the veteran Driver but due to Driver being questionable it makes the decision much less clear. I may end up starting both against the Lambs who are a below average defense.

My opinion is that Driver will play but not at 100%. If I had Jennings and Driver I would play Jennings. Having Driver out there will take away double coverage from Jennings and vice versa.

From JS Online today..

After four weeks of avoiding mass injury, the Packers found themselves with seven players on the injury report who are listed as questionable or worse.Blackmon (foot) is out; receiver Robert Ferguson (foot) and Hodge are doubtful; receiver Donald Driver (ribs/hip), running back Ahman Green (hamstring), tight end Donald Lee (knee) and linebacker Ben Taylor (hamstring) are questionable. All eight missed practice.Driver and Green both took part in individual drills and have a good shot of playing. Green remains bothered by the hamstring he pulled in practice last week, but McCarthy said he thought Green would be ready for the Rams."I was surprised he didn't play Monday night," McCarthy said.

Given the bevy of huge games WRs have had against St. Louis, I'm starting Driver unless I hear he is definitely out. 80% of 120 yards and a TD is still good enough to start IMO.

If Driver plays(I think he will) he will be on a mission to play well after Monday night.

:goodposting: The same one I made ;)

Anybody think Jennings will post better numbers? :hey: This kid is the real deal. He is quickly gaining Favre's trust.

Predictions against the sorry Rams Pass D.

Jennings - 8 receptions 110 yards, and 2 TD's.

Driver - 6 receptions 100 yards, 1 TD

I'd be very surprised if Driver didn't play. He looked fine physically late in the Eagles' game and made one big catch. The Packers aren't in a position where they can afford to rest their top players since a 1-4 record going into the bye would be pretty devastating. I expect Driver to play and then take the bye week to heal up. He's a very tough guy. That's always been one of his strongest attributes.
