I think we can all agree on that. For me, it's a question of starting him or not, and Driver's health is the deciding factor. If Jones isn't on a roster he should be regardless if Driver's status.
Yeah I realized after I posted. But it seems like a game time thing whether Driver plays or not. But I'd be tempted to start him (Jones) regardless.I think we can all agree on that. Certainly am tempted. Last time Jones played Minnesota (week 7), he went 4-107, definitely nice. But that was a meat in a donut sandwich - 0 catches weeks 6 and 8. Seems like he has a higher risk of crapping out completely than the average bear. Driver being off the field would obviously mitigate that risk, significantly.Yeah I realized after I posted. I have all of those same players (Jones, Best, BJGE, and Jennings). However, I also have Woodhead who lists as a RB/WR in my league which makes it difficult for me to decide who to play at flex. The reason is because rushing yards in my league are awarded at 1 pt per 7 yards versus receiving at 10 yds per pt. But if Jones goes off and snags a TD or 2, then he'll be the one I wish I had playing.Tempted to start Jones at Flex over Best and BJGE (and I have jennings at WR1 too).
Thursday practice: Donald driver (quad) was limited and was not in pads. http://bit.ly/9CbJYOhttp://ownersedge.fanball.com/nfl/player/3102/notes#83531
Donald Driver was at practice Wednesday but "did not do much more than stand around during the walk-through," according to the Milwaukee-Journal Sentinel.
Our View:
It is now safe to question whether Driver will be able to play on Sunday against the Vikings. He has not practiced this week coming off the team's bye and that could be a sign his quad injury has not gotten any better. He'll need to practice fully Thursday or Friday to have any hope of being a remotely decent WR3 this week. In the meantime, consider James Jones a strong sleeper pick.
see my answer in the AC Forum where it belongsneed2know said:Need some quick advice and not getting a lot from assistant coach / would you drop any of the following for James Jones? Tolbert, Mathews, S. Smith(NYG), Gaffney? We play 3 WRs and I have Wayne, S. Johnson and Gaffney in right now. its a .5 ppr, all tds 6 pts. But was thinking Jones could be much better than Gaffney. I have bradshaw, LT, and Charles as other RBs. thanks
WR Donald Driver (thigh) jogged through some routes in the walk-through and then did some full speed running on the side during the portion of practice open to the media. Not sure if he took part in any of the full-team work.
