Rams WR Donnie Avery admitted that he has been playing with an injured cracked hip since training camp in July. A recent MRI exam revealed that the fractured hip Avery suffered July 28 never fully healed. Avery said he got through the discomfort by "psyching" himself up, concentrating on drills ... "and then, painkillers, too," and that he will need 8-10 weeks of rest for it to completely heal after the season.
