He was a popular sleeper pick going into the season and seemed to be a great value when he was ready to play in week one. So far. 7 catches. 50 yards and 2 fumbles. My question is, does he turn it around and become a startable WR 3? Who would you drop for him, and who do you prefer instead? Me, I think he's a talented guy (on a crappy team) and will put together decent numbers in the second half of the season.

On that team I think he numbers will be spotty at best. Bulger is not good enough to compensate for their bad offensive line. Perhaps he is favoring Laurent Robinson because he's a bigger target and easier to get the ball to under those circumstances.

Worthless in my league. Dropped him. The Rams aren't there yet...but if he ever does turn it around he is still on waivers because no one else thinks he is worth a crap either!

I dropped him this week too. I don't see much on the horizon for the Rams this year, except maybe Robinson.

I'm expecting 75+ yards and a TD this week.

I'm holding steady with Avery on my bench. Too talented. Bulger will get some semblance of a passing game going sometime this season and I expect Avery to contribute WR 2 numbers. I think too many are bailing early on him. However, If roster slots are limited he hasn't shown anything positive this year so I can't fault anyone for dumping him.

Yeah, I'm sticking with him for now too. Both games so far have been on the road, so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and see how he (and the rest of their passing game) perform in the dome.

I didn't see the whole game, just some of the highlights, but Bulger sure seemed to under throw him all the time. Either that means their timing is off, Bulger is inaccurate or.. Avery is way too fast ? :goodposting:

He's got talent. That is the thing. He's in an offense where that talent could be utilized but it just hasn't happened yet. I am having a hard time parting with him in dynasty for some reason. I just think he showed he's got some skill. He won't have it much easier this week against Al Harris and Charles Woodson. But if he can break free of the jam, he might catch a few long ones.

Drafted him as my WR3 :lmao:

But fortunately drafted S.Smith NYG as WR6. I'm holding for now, but he's and the end of the bench, and will get dropped if he doesn't show something over the next couple of weeks.

Dropped him for Sims-Walker. Until the Rams address that Oline and Bulger Avery will suffer and there are too many other options on the waiver wire that could put up better numbers come Sunday.

After watching his last game I have all but given up on him for this year. I have him on two dynasty teams so I really hope he turns it around. He hardly ever looked like the first option on Sunday. I don't know if the gameplan was to exploit Robinson's matchup over Avery's or what. Avery just wasn't in the game. Doesn't help that he fumbled again.

Rams stink but remember we should be thrilled that he is even on the field - everyone assumed he would miss at least a few weeks with his foot injury. So give him a few weeks - may be a good #3 yet!

I heard he is being doubled a lot, leaving Laurent the open man. I am cool on his prospects going forward this season, but like him long term for dynasty purposes. Probably never going to be a fantasy WR1, but he could be a good WR2... hopefully sooner than later, but it may not be until the Rams transition to another QB.

Draft a rookie with their top 3 pick in 2010, develop him, Avery breaks out in 2011?

You guys have a lot more than a QB issue. You need to draft linemen.

just dropped Avery. picked up brandon stokely, feel more confident that he'll break out this year due to the early chemistry with him and Orton
